Twofer Challenge #17

Well hello everyone! Who knew just how many things had wheels?!! Your cards were amazing and I can't wait to see what you all create for this month's Twofer Challenge:

Now, I think I have eleventyhundred stamp sets, but can you believe I had to do a little shopping to buy a set that contained bees?  How sad is that...not!! I found a cute little set by Memory Box. It was exactly what I was looking for. Let's have a look at my twofer:

My Birthday card:

My Thank You card:

For my first card, I used that bee set for the bees and found an AE flower that felt just right to me. The letters are from an EH set and are little die cuts. The gingham paper is from MFT.

For my second card, I just used one bee. I found that gray paper in my paper tower, and the yellow is a scrap. The sentiment is also from that same set. The rectangle and circle dies are both MFT.

See how easy it is to use the same stamp and make two differently designed cards for two different occasions?! Not so hard! I know you'll want to stop by and see the rest of the DT's cards, as well as those by our Guest Designer. I'm looking forward to your cards in the gallery. As always...

I'm sorry I made you go shopping with my prompt this month, Bevie. NOT! You know you wanted a bee set anyways. I have to say, my friend, that you could go into business designing pp. Seriously. I would have lost a bet about whether that flower and bee panel on your birthday card was store-bought DSP; it's fantastic, as is the rest of your bee-utiful birthday design! And your second is a perfect example of QACAS at its best! I love the composition and simplicity which draws the eye straight to the message. It's going to make the recipient feel very special!! Hugs, Darnell

Those are such sweet bees, Bev! I love how you created a pattern with the bees and flowers. So wonderful with the gingham too! Your thank you card is a delight with the one focal bee and the color blocking with the white and yellow on that wonderful patterned paper! Your twofer is fantastic!

I'm pretty sure there are certain stamps missing from my collection, too, but at the moment I can't think what that might bee, er, be. Perhaps I should take inventory and plan yet another shopping trip. Oh, the hardship! It's amazing to me how you managed to make that little tiny bee the focal point of both your cards, but you really did! Like Darnell, I thought that was designer paper on your first card, but, no, it's just your design skills at work. So cute! And just look how perfectly you placed those letters! The gingham is not only a cute addition, but it probably helped with alignment, too. Since I'm CAS challenged I'm in awe over your second card with a clever layout and, again, that tiny bee "beeing" the star. What fun!

Two FABULOUS cards Bev!! You know the gingham caught my eye first though...it'll always be right up there with the polka dots! I too thought you had used DSP for bees and flowers and Darnell is right...you could go right into designing DSP for a living Bev!! Sweet, sweet card! I love the simplicity of your 2nd card too...it's absolutely perfect! I missed playing last month, but already have my bee stamp sitting on my desk and have ideas floating around in my head, so hopefully this month goes smoother than last month! Have a great week my friend, and if you've seen Summer, would you please send it our way?! Hugs. :0)

what the. wait... you stamped those bees and blooms?? I'm so happy to see this darling bee became your eleventyhundred-and-oneth stamp, Bev - so very sweet! I have to tell you, I'd give eleventyhundred dollars for a tower of that gray DP... it's da bomb diggity! as are your darling cards!

I had no bee stamps either, at least I don’t think so. So many stamp sets to rummage through. I think we crafters have one thing in common, we hoard, lol. I think that the one single bee on your thank you card is so cute being there all on its own. So small in a big world. I find this card both trendy and sweet. And that flowers and bees pattern you created? It’s totally awesome. I love both designs equally, but for different reasons.

These are so adorable and I love your tiny bee stamp-I am with you-no bee stamp! Always avoiding them really. But when in the DT you have to play! You did a fab job, love the contrast between the pretty and the graphic cards. And thank you for your lovely comment on my blog yesterday-appreciated so much x

I love your bee cards and so glad you shopped for that cute set. I was thinking I would have to shop for some bees too when I finally found one set that had a single bee on it. Whew! Anyway, thanks for sharing your bees as I love the way you have used the stamps.

Oh my, how adorable are those bitty bees... super sweet if you pardon the pun. It's amazing to see how different two cards can look using the same supplies. Fabulous twofer cards x

I was in the same situation, Bev. No bee stamps ... how does that happen?? I borrowed from a friend, but shopping would have been even better. Why didn't I think of that??!! Fabulous bee that you bought, sweet and the perfect size for your beautiful flower and gingham card. Love the design with the sweet green gingham bottom. Your second card is adorable. LOVE that gray backing with the bright yellow. Such a great colour combo. And the perfect sentiment with anothe of those adorable bees Great work Bev!! xx

Tee hee, Bev ... you chose such a sweet bee to add to your eleventyhundred stash ... I avoided a shopping trip after finding a long loved, not recently used WP9 set ... my only bees! The whimsicality (is that a word?) of your delicious buzzy background with those sweet blooms is fabulous ... so delicious with the fresh gingham ... rather like a sweet summer picnic! Love the blend of graphic simplicity with the charm of that single bee on your Thanks card ... yummy buttery yellow sun with the 'field' of grey ... gorgeous! Thinking of you, my lovely friend ... and missing you heaps and heaps! Big hugs and bee-sous! Anita :)

Those new little bees are the right shape and size to flit among your wonderful yellow flowers, Bev, and they look good with the gingham too.
