In the Way

Life has gotten in the way of my crafting, commenting and posting as of late. And I only have a bit of time now to get a post in. I need a vacation...who's with me??!! Overall, life is good, and I won't complain. Mama said there'd be days like these...

I've got a trio of cards, and I want to play along with fellow BABE Darnell's NBUS Challenge. Do I have any NBUS? Snicker, snort, chortle, laugh, guffaw, hoot, and even a holler thrown in for good measure. That's like asking if I drink coffee. You know you're nodding along with me, too, haha! And while I'm here, I thought I might play at the SSS Monday and SSS Wednesday Challenges, as well as the Inspired by all the Little Things Challenge. Shall we get right to it? Alrighty then...

Darnell!!!

This first card will head off to Darnell's. It's been in my stash, and I've used some of the other stamps in the set, but these two are brand spanking new:

Isn't he just the cutest?! This is a Studio Calico set, and the sunburst behind him is from AE. Versafine black ink a little Copic coloring. One MFT stitched frame die. Pretty CAS.

Next is a card for both of the SSS challenges. Monday's is to create our own background, and Wednesday's is to use a bit o' green.

The leaves were created with two different Verve sets. The hearts are from LF, and the sentiment is from NN. I used a punched strip from one of MFT's Blueprints sets to create a division that wouldn't detract from the stamping. A few black blings, and I added teeny-tiny black dots with a pen also.

Lastly, I wanted to pop this card over at IBATLTs:

The ginko leaves are from PTI, and I just love them. MFT dies. An NBUS 'thanks' sentiment that came with my last order from Verve. The dragonflies and butterfly are from TT. A few pink sequins and done. Running along now kids. Happy dances everyone!

That little bunny is so adorable in front of the sunburst. I'm pretty sure he's saying "ta-dah!" I love the confetti of leaves and hearts on the second card and since I love ginko leaves it's a no-brainer that I love the last card. There's just something about those leaves that fill up a card and make me smile!

I'll go with you on a vacation! Where shall we go? Somewhere warm and sunny?
Oh my, how cute is that bunny! And how clever to put that sun burst behind him! I just had that AE set out (NBUS for me) to use but it didn't work out. Have to remember your idea of stamping something in front.
The background you created on the second card is so pretty with the little pink hearts scattered between the leaves.
And your last card is so soft and elegant! Love that fern!
Off to pack my bag...

Your posts are a delight-- love reading your musings. Yes, NBUS-- we don't have any of that do we?? Finally getting around to catching up with your lovely creations and I am hoping all is okay with your family, and son especially as of late. I love all your yellow-focused creations in last few posts, and your birthday celebration for Anita-- oh my gosh. I am borrowing this idea from you! Totally fab. Not fab I missed Anita's b-day, but it's been awhile since I made it around to anyone's blog! Your entry into "Inspired by" is lovely-- like the split technique; I am actually going to try that with a card this weekend. The bunny thank you is AWESOME! So cute. I hope you can take a mental vacation if not a physical one, and I guess, look back at that post for Anita-- and meditate on those images! Thanks for all your lovely comments and thoughts over at my little slice of the virtual world! Thinking of you!

Did someone say VACATION!? I'm in!! where are we going to go!?

Your cards don't reflect the difficulties you are facing and struggling through. They are soft and sweet just like you Bev. Keep holding on to the the ONE who is going to lift your head and fill your heart with song!

Wow, I'm doing a happy dance at all three of these cards Bev! They are amazing. Yes, that bunny is so dang cute, that sunburst is perfect behind him and I love that bold sentiment. I love your background on your second card, that is fabulous! Those leaves are so cool and I just love those little itty bitty hearts and the little itty bitty dots you made. Love it! I saw for the first time a ginko tree in VA. It was changing colors for fall and it was stunning! And that's what I think about your third card, just stunning. Love that stamp, your sweet "thanks" just goes so perfectly with those fabulous ginko leaves and then there is that little butterfly. So sweet and just oozes southern charm! Hugs, Brenda

Oh my Miss Bev...I know how life can get in the way of crafting and with all going on in your life right now I am surprised you were able to share these two beauties with all of us but I am so happy you did. That sweet little bunny card is my favorite from your fabulous trio. Take care and sending hugs and prayers your way. Miss you lots!

I'm glad you've had time to do some crafting, Bev. It's almost like taking a vacation, at least to me. Just block everything out and create away. I see a soft and pretty theme here, so lovely every one. You might think about sending your second card to the Pintrest Inspired challenge. I think it would fit nicely there.

Hey Bev! Hope things are settling down a little for you. Wonderful cards today! You know the CAS bunny totally has stolen my heart. Great idea to put a sunburst behind him. It really reinforces his excitement to be the star of your card!!

There I was, hoping that the tropical island retreat had arrived by now, Bev ... it's been on order since September ... along with the helicopter of course! I'd join you, naturally! A gorgeous trio of loveliness here, my sweet friend ... I ADORE that little bunny ... seems he's perfectly poised for a big hug ... so I'm sending you one! Those little leaves are just charming ... and whimsical ... and simply delightful with the tiny hearts! Gorgeous ginkgo leaves ... a soft, delicate, pretty cascade! Miss you heaps, mon amie! Prayers and more hugs coming your way, Anita :)

Your bunny card caught my attention in the NBUS gallery so I had to pop over and read more. I love the bunny and the way you used it! I'm with you (needing a vacation). Life shouldn't get in the way of crafting and I get downright grumpy when it does!! Hope your vacation arrives soon!

Hey, look, it's me! Can you tell I'm still catching up on my NBUS gallery peeps? I know I said I wouldn't comment on everyone, but how could I not comment on this adorable NBUS bunny?!! I love all three of your fantastic cards, but I am a bit biased towards bunny boy who is appropriately in the spotlight!! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #6, snookums!! I hope this week is better for you and John and that you have sunny days inside and out!! Miss you!! Love and hugs, Darnell
