Popping in Quickly Today

So much to do, so little time... Even though I'm retired from the work world, I can't seem to get it all done. Somehow I did mange to work full time, raise children, go back to college, and multitudes of other activities, but I'm not sure how... But it's all good. I can always do tomorrow whatever I don't get done today.

Big thanks to those of you who offered their help with my PC vs Mac dilemma. My dear old HP is hanging on for dear life, and I'm hoping that she waits to give up the ghost until our tax refund comes, lol! If you'd still like to share your thoughts on the subject, I'd love to hear what you've got to say. You can read yesterday's post here to learn more...

Today I want to play at As You See It, Challenge #70.  If I had more time, I'd make a dozen more cards from this recipe! Check it out...Love this idea!!

070

I know, right?! Here's what I came up with:

Michaels white base, then more scraps!!! The grays and yellows came from my sister Sue. We'd worked on a scrapbook for our niece, and Sue let me have the scraps! She's the best sister ever. The sentiment and die are from PTI, the chevron dies are from MFT, and sweet Miss Darnell sent the blingablingblings home with me in October after our stay at the Lake House. The "birthday" is popped up with a piece of sticky-backed foam from HL. I left a bit of it peeking out; you can see the white edges just a smidgey bit. I'm headed off to attack a few more chores. *sigh* I'd rather craft... Happy dances everyone.

Choooores schmooores... Why sweep when you can stamp? That's my life's motto. Unfortunately the ants like that motto a little too much... :)

I'm loving those multi-colored chevrons! It makes for such a great focal piece.

This is such a clean, crisp design and I like your colour choice! It would make a great masculine birthday card! Thanks, Bev, for joining us at As You See It Challenges this week!

Oh my...I know just what you mean. I used to work full time with an hour commute each way and still had time for my hobbies and now that I work part time I seem to have far less time to play. I love the idea of sweeping later and stamping now, so much fun. And this challenge looks like lots of fun too. Love your festive birthday card...those chevrons are fabulous.

What a lovely card! The 'Birthday' is great and I think you've done the chevrons perfectly.

Your card is perfect, I always find those recipe cards such a challenge but you make it seem so easy. The colors are wonderful, easily a unisex card which scores bonus points.

Isn't it funny how our time gets easily filled?! I can't wait to retire but feel fortunate that I can work part time.

I know what you mean about having more time to do chores but getting behind. We did it all when we worked andor raised our children. Now it seems we can't get it all done anymore. Everyone is in that boat anymore. lol Not sure why except that age slows us down so we can't seem to get done in a days time what we used to when we were younger. It stinks! I can see why you would make a lot more of cards, I love how yours turned out! You nailed this challenge that's for sure! Hugs, Brenda

Very fun card. I like those chevrons a lot, and your die cut popped up birthday. This would be a great card for a person of either gender.

Sweet, SWEET job Bev! The colors are so masculine, but in a soft way! Perfect bits of bling! BTW....shout out coming your way for this puppy!

The 'must do' list never seems to shrink, does it! At the moment, I have so much work to catch up on at home, that my head swims...but rather than tackle it (mountain of laundry, an increasing number of pet dust-bunnies...), I go straight to my crafting corner (all 2 x 3' of it), and start puttering and putzing. Meanwhile...more laundry, more *pets*. Oh well...one of these days! Your card: exponentially fabulous! Colours, chevrons, the cool biRthDaY die, the blingablingblings...a happy-dance combination, indeed!
