Twofer Twofer

Wouldn't it be nice if all stamp sets, inks, and any other craft supplies came as a twofer? You know, buy one, get another one free! Ah....I can always dream, can't I?! Today's twofer is two cards for two challenges. One came really easily, one was like pulling teeth. Eventually they both got made....

The first card up is for the Muse Challenge. This was actually the easy one. The idea came fast, and the process was more or less fast. For my card, I pulled the die cut sentiments, primaryish color scheme, and linear design of the pattern. Wait till you see Therese's card...it has so much inspiration, and you can just take this and run in a million different directions.

Here's my interpretation:

I found this piece of OA dp, and loved the bright colors. The rest of the papers are scraps. I cut the two happys using MB dies. A few Michaels sequins and done! Inside it actually says 'birthday.' So easy peasy lemon squeezy!

The next challenge is Less is More's use the colors of your bedroom. My bedroom is full of yellows, blues, and whites. It's sunny, cheerful, and a bit girly. But not too froo-froo. I have to say it's a joy (nearly) every morning to wake up there. Not a fancy place, but it's just right for me. It's one of my favorite places, and the place I miss the most when I'm traveling. This card started out with flowers. Lots of flowers. Lots of flower stamps...they are still strewn all over my work space...In the end, I didn't use a single one.

"Less is More"

And my card:

Scraps of yellow and blue cardstock, and a bit of white, on a Neenah white base. I cut the yellow apart and popped it up, which doesn't really show here. The big stamp is an old one, from Stampabilities, and I used some Studio G blue ink. The sentiment is from one of my favorite birthday sets by PTI. Three Michaels blue pearls and done. And so is this post! Happy dances everyone.

Your interpretation of the Muse card is perfect, Bev, and I think I have some of that paper.

Your pinger is working overtime, Bevie, and I love this creative roll you're on! Here are two more terrific cards, just great for the challenges!

It's interesting how some cards go together so smoothly and then others, not so much. Don't you also find sometimes that the cards you, personally, aren't that happy with are ones that win challenges or others love to pieces?! This is NEVER a boring hobby, especially not with you a part of it!! Hugs, Darnell

Love the fun happy feeling of your Muse card and your description of your bedroom. There's certainly no place like home, is there? So glad you joined us at Muse this week!

Yep, dream on! The pulling teeth part... been there, done that. Crazy how Mr. Mo Jo chooses to work or not work, eh? The result is so pleasing to look at. Well done, Bev. And if you're going to be in the neighborhood in September, you're invited too!

Both your cards are wonderful Bev, but it's the 'happy' one that really made me smile, it's so bright and cheery. Isn't it nice when a card comes together quickly!

Great cards Bev, it's strange how cards develop form the original ideas we start with!
Thanks so much

You're rolling girlfriend! Both of these cards are sooooo perfect! The star paper is so neat - did you add the stitched border or is it part of the paper! Great color choice for the 'happy's'!

Your second card - gorgeous! You definitely nailed the Less is More challenge! The wee sentiment paired with that flawlessly stamped bold image is ... simply elegant!

Great photo - the popped up panel is so well defined!

Your Muse card exudes happy, Bev ... such bright, vibrant colours, fabulous fun shapes in the DP and, oh yes, luscious sequins! Your LIM card ... calm, soothing, elegant and so beautifully precise ... just lovely, my friend! I so know that stamps-strewn-about feeling ... so glad you persevered with this beauty! Hugs, Anita :)

Cards are like that, aren't they? Some come simply - some are a struggle. I will work and work on a card, then eventually post it just because of all of the time spent, even though I am rarely satisfied. And there's no real reason for the struggle - the annoying card may be just like another card - but it decides to fight back!
