Still Trying, But Some Good News!

Yep. I'm still trying to find some sort of routine since last year. It's not working too well, but I'm hoping it will come. Started 'pushing' myself the other day to do certain things at certain times. It's helped some, but there is still an element of discombobulation happening. And freakin' Covid isn't helping either! The isolation means that I can often say, "Oh...I can do that tomorrow." Not that my house is a mess, as I know it would drive me crazy, there's just no hurry! Wisconsin promises to start vaccinating 'my group' beginning around the 29th of this month. "Mm-hmmm, I don't know about that..."

Wanna hear some beyond amazing awesome news? Thought you might like a little happy today, so here it is, some of the very best news in the world. A new baby! Grandson Christopher and his lovely wife, Kaitlyn welcomed an incredible baby boy last week, 8.12lbs, 20" long, and the cutest, most darling baby boy named Louie Alexander. "Photos?," you might ask..But of course!

I am so in love! Can hardly wait for my vaccines so I can head over and give little "King Louie" (as his daddy calls him) cuddles and snuggles! *sigh!* Just look at those cheeks!

And of course, I've made a card! Had to shop for a new baby set, but it was worth it! I like the way it turned out:

The base is a patterned paper from AE. I used some DO blue ink to create a bit of a sky, then cut out a panel with the MFT Wonky Frame die. The new stamps are from Photoplay, a set called Little One Icons, and they are just the cutest! Colored a bit with Copics, and done. I'd like to play along with Less Is More, where the prompt is "baby." Hopefully, it will be CAS enough. And that's it for me today. I've got some things to get done, including a FT chat with a granddaughter out in Phoenix. Hope you all are staying safe, and as always...

Squee! Look at those cheeks, indeed! Congratulations, G-G!! One thing about having a bruiser baby, it's like starting off with a two-month old! Look how alert he is and, excuse me, no need to hold his head up, I guess, cuz he's got that handled all by himself! Amazing! And your card is amazing, too, Bevie! Love all the great details, right down to squishable cheeks on the cloud, too!! I hope they move on to your group even earlier so you can go see handsome Prince King Louie soon! Love and hugs, Darnell

You're a great grandma now???!! How cool is that??!! I'm SO happy for you Bev, and he is just absolutely ADORABLE!! Yep, it's definitely those cheeks!! And I love his name! Not one you hear too often anymore, but I love it!! Especially when you add the King before it...reminds me of Jungle Book...haha!! I hope your turn comes really soon for your vaccine (I got my 1st one this past week) so you can go visit that sweet little boy! I haven't seen my sweet Eunice Cornelia since she was 5 weeks old last Oct. and it's driving me absolutely crazy!! She's 6 months old now and I'm missing SO much!! From her sister and brother too! Mid April and I will be camping out at my daughters house to make up for lost time!! But anyway, he is absolutely beautiful and I love your card too Bev...so sweet!! Take care my friend! Lots of hugs too!! :0)

Oh, isn't Louis Alexander just as gorgeous in these photo's as the last few, Bev ... no wonder you're looking forward so much to those hugs! Your card for him (and his proud parents!) is adorable ... sweet, whimsical and so wonderfully soft (in a masculine kind of a way)! Thinking of you, sweet friend ... and missing you! Big hugs and bisous, Anita :)

Covid definitely isn't helping with finding a routine Bev, but it will come but at your own pace. Hard to lose the other half of yourself and then know who you are so to speak. I think we all are in that mood-"oh I can do that tomorrow" mood because why rush it?! No one is coming over so we get to it when we get to it. Nope, no hurry right now. I hope you can get your vaccine is you are interested soon. I have both of mine now.

Awwww, a baby boy! Congrats!!! He is a cutie, so loving his chubby cheeks! I got another granddaughter back in Nov., I guess there is a lot of babies coming from the shut down. lol Seems like a little baby boom anyway. I hope you can soon snuggle that little guy, he is way to cute not to be able to! Hugs, Brenda
