Twofer Challenge #33

Here we are at the last Twofer Challenge of the year (I was going to write "2020," but um, no). Since I have a nice variety of stamps in this month's prompt theme, I thought I might really have a blast with them. Turns out I did! I made a graduation card for my granddaughter who earned her degree in Biology, and I made a birthday card for a littler girl. Two very different cards for two different occasions. Be sure to stop by the Twofer Challenge and leave a little love for the rest of the DT, and our Guest Designers,  Pia and Liz. And one more thing... Darnell is offering prizes this month. Be extra sure you head over to Twofer for more information! I can't wait to see what you come up with for this prompt:

Here are my cards together:

And individually:

Not hard to see the stars on my first card, but did you find them on the second one?

The graduation card uses an MFT frame die in navy blue, and I dotted it with gold using a teeny-tiny TT dot stamp. I used the same dot stamp in gold again, on the yellow panel, and added some navy stars with a tiny star stamp from WPlus9. The moon stamp and die is from that same set. The sentiment is from Whimsey Stamps. EZPZ

The birthday card. On top of the red panel, I framed a circle of flowers with a scalloped edge die from MFT, and the sentiment is also an MFT stamp. The little lady is from EH, and she's colored with Copics. I stamped those same WPlus9 stars on her jumper, did you catch that?! They were the perfect size for her outfit, since she is a star!

Thanksgiving is soon upon us, and like many of you, it will be scaled down at my house. I have been isolating, and will continue to do so except for a produce run a couple of days before the holiday, and then I will use extra caution. Many blessings to all of you on Thanksgiving and always. Thank you for playing along with Twofer in this difficult year, and may 2021 bring much more joy and peace. And as always...

Congratulations to your granddaughter on her degree. Who knows what she will accomplish during her lifetime. A sweet birthday card with a cute design. Enjoy your Thanksgiving even if it is different this year. We are all doing scaled down or cancelled this year.

What a great example of using the teeniest stars on your designs, Bevie. These are both terrific! I can't believe you put all those gold dots on the navy background for your dreamy card! Love the navy and yellow together. Congratulations to your granddaughter on her biogolist degree! (That's how we say it in our house.) The world can certainly use more biogolists!

And your card for your littler birthday girl is just as cute as can be! Love her starry jumper and how you framed her with a subtile and very pretty floral circle and then made her POP with a deep red card base! Keep well! Miss you! Hugs, Darnell

Both your cards are fabulous Bev, and such a wonderful example to really be able to use a stamp so very differently in 2 cards! Loving that graduation sentiment, i'ts perfect! Stay safe my friend x

Bev those bitty stars make quite an impact on both the skirt of your darling birthday card and on your yellow panel for the encouragement card. Well done!

What a great card to congratulate your granddaughter, Bev! Love the navy and yellow combination with all those tiny stars! The birthday card is adorable and I did spot the stars on her dress! Very clever! Our Thanksgiving will be very quiet this year. My girls will finally learn how to cook a turkey! I'm sure I'll be on the phone a lot that day. As long as we're all healthy, it will be fine if different! I hope you have a special day.

Two FABULOUS cards for sure Bev, and yes, I did spot the stars on the birthday girls jumper! And here I thought I was being so clever making a graduation card so early this month, and you did the same thing...does that mean we're on the same wavelength? Not sure if that's scary or cool, but I think I'll go with cool...great minds thinking alike and all that stuff!! And congrats to your granddaughter...you must be SO proud!! And I love your colorful card for the littler one...those EH gals always make me smile, and I love how you've colored her and set her against that colorful circle and bright red card base! AWESOME cards my friend!! Our Thanksgiving will be very small this year too (and we'll probable be eating turkey till Christmas!!!!!), but we're all healthy so I'm going to remain very thankful for that! Little Uni had her 2 month check up today and she is up to 9lbs 2oz and is smiling all the time now! Caitlin is very good at sending me pictures every couple days and that totally helps the not being able to see and hold her more often! Take care my friend and stay safe and well! Hugs. :0)

Your scattering of tiny magical stars is just wonderful on both cards, Bev! Your graduation design is whimsical and fun ... and captures the sense of the sentiment so beautifully! Congratulations to the graduate! What a sweet card for a littler granddaughter ... it's soft and pretty with that floral background ... and how cute to have a starry skirt to celebrate in for her birthday! A super twofer! Sending big hugs and bisous, Anita :)

Congrats to your granddaughter! Bet she loved her starry card! What a fun, sweet little girl BD card! Yep--what a year! If only everyone cared enough to follow the guidelines, but sadly cases & deaths continue to rise. Glad you're being careful, as are we!
