Got My Mojo Workin'

Muddy Waters, one of my most favorite blues singers in the history of forever, recorded "Got My Mojo Workin'" way back in 1957. Here's a rendition of it from 1966, if you're interested. Nothing like the blues! Hope it works, otherwise, just head over to YouTube... Anyway, my card making mojo has returned, at least for the moment, and I'm working it for all I can. Let's see the cards, shall we?!

I'll only show you two of the cards I've made, as I don't want to scare you away! The first one will head off to Color Hues Challenge, and the second will make its way to Seize The Birthday.

Our "Toppings" option this time is...

Very clean and simple. A creamy/ivory base with a center WPlus9 die cut panel, stamped with a Verve sentiment in Altenew Antique Gold ink, and cornered with Paper Smooches leaves.

I pulled all of these papers from my scrap files, and since the"toppings" at Seize the Birthday is to use your scraps, this qualifies. A TE polaroid die with a scrap of yellow polkie dot. That adorable gnome is from Simply Graphic and the computer generated sentiment was cut with a ME die. I might make another one of these, and use an itsy bitsy pompon to top his hat. Hope your day is filled with delights, and I'm off and running now. As always...

Your cream and gold card is so elegant, Bev! One might get the impression that you are sophisticated or something. That is one adorable little gnome - I hope he can come out to play when I come over! Good to see you out and about in Blogland!

Oh yes indeed Bev, get that pompom out because it would look super cute atop that hat... in fact it demands a fluffy itsy bitsy pompom lol. I'm glad to see your cards and happy that your mojo is returning and what beautiful cards to share. Love the classy white, cream and gold card... not easy to make white and cream work, you nailed it. I adore gnomes so he's definitely a winner. Take care x

Yep, I'd say your mojo is definitely back, Bev! Your gold and cream confection is gorgeous ... so elegant ... how delicious is the hexagon panel, simply adorned with the shiny gold leaves ... yum! Your SG gnome is adorable ... what a cutie ... and yes, he'd so suit a pompom! It would've been today, wouldn't it ... as it's not, to make up for it (in a very small way) I'm sending you extra big hugs and bisous ... miss you, my friend, Anita :)

Yay for Mojo! I hope he brought his suitcase and moved into the guest room!! You've made twofer beauties with this session. I love the shiny gold leaves hugging that label sediment on your CASlicious first card and your ganome is just the cutest! You can still add a pom=pom to his pointy head and it would match his cool scored beard! The yellow polkie dots work like a dream behind his red, white, and blue! Next? Miss you! Be safe! Hugs, Darnell xxoo

Awesome cards Bev. I love the gold number- that ink is amazing, it looks foiled! I also have a gnome die set but I've only ever used it for Christmas! It looks perfect on this birthday card and I can't wait to try it out using bold colours like yours!
From someone who has also suffered from a lack of mojo herself, it feels good to be back doesn't it!
