Twofer Challenge #23 ~ And A Little Something Special

Well hello, and a Happy New Year to you all! Hope your holidays were everything wonderful, and that 2020 is the best year yet.

It's time for January's Twofer Challenge, and this prompt will get you working on your Valentines Day cards:

Now before I show you my cards, I wanted to let you know that this month marks the Twofer Card Challenge's second blogaversary! Be sure you stop over at the Twofer blog's home page for all the details about PRIZES! Yep, you've read that right, there are prizes to be had! Come help us celebrate!

And for our 'Heart' prompt this month, I made these two cards:

My heart is a little die from RC. It comes as a row of hearts, like the bottom of the row of the Christmas tree, and I simply cut it apart as needed for my cards. The Valentine was so simple, and I like how it turned out. A scrap of gray stripe, a row of RC red hearts, and a couple of Jillybean Soup 'hugs and kisses' in red. For my Christmas card, that's a Gina K. kraft base. I cut down an embossed panel (TE), added my hearts and one teensy sequin to that panel, along with a Uniko sentiment beneath it. Here they are separately:

Be sure you visit the Twofer Blog and see what the rest of our DT and Guest Designers have created, and don't forget our 2nd Blogaversary celebration! See you in the gallery! And as always...

Two CAS and FABULOUS cards Bev!! Your Valentine card is everything I love about CAS...the red heart border goes SO well with the piece of gray & white striped DSP and the simple xoxo for the sentiment says it all! LOVE it! Your Christmas card is also CAS perfection Bev and I just love the upside down heart for the tree trunk...I mean how clever is that??!! (In other words, why didn't I think of that?!!!) Wonderful inspiration here Bev! Hope you and the hubby are both doing well and over the cough attacks?! We're finally healthy here, knock on wood!! Take care my friend. Hugs!! :0)

Very, very clever way to use the little row of hearts die, Bevie! I love both CASlicious designs! Great texture behind your heartfelt Christmas tree with its adorable heart trunk and, of course, I think the stripes are a knockout on your Valentine!! Hugs, Darnell

D'ya think there's a connection through the universe, Bev ... has to be seeing as we both had the same idea for an unconventional design! The whimsical look of your heart filled tree is just a delight against the subtle background texture ... and what a brilliant idea for the trunk ... that didn't occur to me! Love the cool, stylish graphic grey stripes with the heart filled row and the simple bright red sentiment ... I'm thinking handsome in a James Bond kind of a way! Miss you sweet friend ... big hugs and bisous, Anita :)

I love how you and Anita both created Christmas trees out of hearts - great minds truly do think alike. I also love how they were constructed so differently! So clever to use the heart as the tree trunk/stand. Your long row of red hearts look amazing with the grey stripes, and the xoxo is a perfect simple sentiment! Such a fun twofer, Bev!

I thought I'd seen that heart tree before. How crazy that both you and Anita had the exact some idea, Bev. I just proves that green hearts make great Christmas trees.

Fun!! They are going into my inspiration files. The Valentine is perfect for my boys. And the heart tree with that sentiment is wonderfully creative and eye-catching! Happy New Year to you and your family! I'm hoping at some point you'll have a few minutes to do a blog post with all of your holiday/family stories. BUT it's not like you've had time to relax with cardmaking so take time to do that for yourself first!

Both cards are too cute, Bev! I love the simplicity of card one with the bitty XOXO sentiment! The row of rich red hearts look amazing on the grey/white striped paper too! And what a fabulous heart Christmas tree with the embossed background on card two!! Fun challenge and a great start to year 3! Happy New Year!!

I am in awe that you thought to create a Christmas tree with your hearts! Love the whole concept of that idea and the embossed background on kraft looks so simple yet effective. The CAS love card is a cute one too and the row of red hearts looks so cute! Great twofer cards!

Both cards are sweetly CAS.
The valentine would be a great
one for a guy, which is always hard
for me to make.
