Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Had a lovely, relaxing long weekend with one of my dearest friends who'd driven all the way from Pensacola, Florida. She made the rounds of many of her Wisconsinite friends and is now on her way back home. And just so I wouldn't dwell on her leaving, I sat down and made a card for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! So far, the distraction of cardmaking has worked -- I just might have to make cards all day so I don't feel lonely without her, lol!!

Here's my card:

I'd saved the large scrap of that winter coffee cup paper, which I purchased from who knows where or when. Believe it or not, the darkest cups and the largest mat are navy blue, but they show as black today in the photograph. Rain/snow cloud cover (that's my story and I'm sticking to it, lol!).The white mat was cut The Greetery's Crimped Frame die. The coffee cup and the hand are both from EH sets, and the sentiment is an Avery Elle. Hope your upcoming week is craft-filled and as always...

Yup, that's pretty much my sentiment as I pour that first cup every morning... super card and I love the attention to detail of wrapping two fingers around the cup... it's a proper hug of a mug :) x

It's hard when dear friends come to visit and then have to leave. That's a long drive for your friend! I pray she has a safe trip home. Good for you for going in to the craft room to keep busy and make a card. I love it! It is so unique and fun. Loving that coffee paper but totally am in love with how you did your hand around the "to go" cup. Keep busy my sweet friend so you won't get blue. Hugs, Brenda

She's got a great manicure, and I don't see any ink on her fingers. Poor thing, she hasn't been crafting enough. You, on the other hand (punny, right?), have been card making! That makes me so happy! Such a fantastic card, Bev, and one that can be used for so many occasions!
