Oh the endless possibilities! Let's see what you've got!
I went with....
Deer.
This first card has a sassy message inside, which you'll get to in a minute...
Obviously, this is a "manly" card. We get fields and meadows like this full of bucks and does all over the state. So I made this card with my (as I like to call him) "2nd best BFF" in mind. He's a deer hunter. I found all these scraps in my files and whipped this card up in no time. All the bucks and trees are from Poppystamps, as is the sentiment. I used an MFT grass border. On the inside, I was naughty, and I hope I don't offend anyone, but it says, "Let's do some shots." Heading to the corner now for a time out...sorry. (she said, laughing and snorting all the way!)
Nothing naughty about card number two:
This little thank you note will go into the stockpile, and one of our lucky children will find it in their box of cards as part of their Christmas gift. Unless I need it before then, lol! Love this chunky scalloped frame by ME, and I found this Pebbles chevron paper in my (ahem) small paper stash. Small if you compare it to a store maybe.... The circle scallop die is from MFT. The sentiment and the Whittle Deer are from Poppystamps. And there you have it.
I love the premise of this challenge. It makes me think about the cards I'm making. Two different designs on two cards, using the same stamps, dies or stencils, for two different occasions. It's fun! Hope to see you in the gallery this month! And as always...

Two gorgeous Deer cards! And neither are Christmas - brilliant! xxx
I agree with Chris, Bevie. Not only are you brilliant to come up with two different fabulous designs for your deer, but neither one is a Christmas card! You are an inspiration for streeeeeeeeeeetching your stamps so you can come out of the corner now! Hugs, Darnell xxoo
Snorting here! Your friend will love his humorous card. Sometimes you just have to put the picture in your head aside and enjoy the humor. Is it any worse than all those cards where people put a scope sight on the buck? They were very popular a few years ago. I love these Whittle Deer. Your second card is simply sweet. Pink always makes a sweet card, doesn't it? Lucky kids to get a box of cards at Christmas!
How wondeful, love the style of the images and it does make for a perfect masculine design on your grassy hill. I hear you when you say about the stash, I am in need of some help for my Christmas stash lol.
What fabulous cards!! That deer is PERFECT for a masculine card and I love the "naughty" sentiment. If you can't be naughty with friends, who can you be naughty with? The second card is so pretty with the layering and that fun patterned paper. GREAT take on this challenge!!
Bahahahaha!!! Let's do some shots...love it!! Hope your friend appreciates your humor...if he doesn't just pass it along to me! And I love your sweet pink deer card too! Your kids are very lucky to get a box of cards from you at Christmas...mine are getting coal this year! JK!! Two FABULOUS cards Bev...love them both!! Hugs. :0)
Bev, what a darling set of cards. ANd not one a Christmas Card...you rock. I love the pink with the scallop and the prancing herd on your man card. SO so creative.
Har har, Bev - clever inside sentiment for your fun manly deer card!! Cutie single deer on card two also - love the framing!!
I do love a good pun Bev and am VERY impressed that you have used this deer, not just once but TWICE, without a Christmas card in sight!
These are such cuties and love the difference in colours. I don’t think I have one stamp etc with a critter!
well the Buck stops here, and brought his friends for fun!! So, darned much fun, Bev!
=]
Nothing wrong with a couple of shots, Bev, as long as you're talking liquor. ;) Great manly card. The other one so perfect for a thank you.
Such a perfect card for a deer hunter! I love the look of those deer and trees - kinda looks like folk art and it's so whimsical! What a fantastic idea to pair your deer with the bright chevrons and pink pretty frame! It is as though that deer never ran around the North Woods. Thinking about you, my friend!
Terrific cards, great pun! Framing a deer up all pretty for a feminine card is fabulous!
I love that you gave us masculine and feminine inspiration as well as cards for two different occasions!
Love these deer, Bev, frolicking happily among the well tree'd forest ... and that inside sentiment is a riot ... guessing you'll have a willing taker to share those shots! The scalloped framing around the card and the deer on your second card is so pretty, especially with the fabulous colours in the chevron background pp ... you know I'm smiling all over my face at that fun, punny sentiment! Sending big hugs and bisous, Anita :)
