Twofer Challenge #14

It's time once again for the Twofer Challenge! I hope you're as excited as I am. When Darnell let the Design Team know March's prompt was "Balloons," well...don't you know I just had to jump online and buy a stamp and die set that I'd been drooling over! What a perfect excuse to shop a little, lol!!

I do hope you'll play along with us. And unlike me, you can use the stamps, dies, and/or stencils you've got in your stash (unless you "need" those new stamps, lol)! Remember to make two differently designed cards for two different occasions and join us in the gallery. It's great for your stash!

Here's a photo of them together:

And individually:

Those sweet balloons are from Sugar Pea Designs. For the baby card, I used my new ink blenders, and colored all the balloons in Fresh Ink's Pink Lemonade ink. Those are AE scalloped dies, LF flag banners (Winked by Stella), an old Pebbles word die cut, some pretty Doodlebug polka dot paper, and I finished off those SP balloons with a teensy bit of silver thread.

You can tell by looking at it, just how CAS my birthday card is. Same balloon, stamped in black, blended in yellow. The package is from Jane's Doodles, and the sentiment is PTI. EZPZ.

I can't wait to see where you fly off to with your balloons. So I'll see you in the gallery, right?!! And as always...

Two GREAT cards Bev!! I just LOVE your blending of color on both cards...all those gorgeous pink balloons for the baby card and that lovely yellow balloon for the CAS birthday card! Definitely worth the investment from your shopping trip!! :0)

Sorry, not sorry, about the need to buy fresh balloon material, Bevie! Not sorry because it sure is a cutey-pie balloon and I love how you used it for this month's Twofer! That baby girl design is literally bursting with celebration! If some mama was feeling sad that no one had sent her a bundle of pink balloons, you have saved the day for her with this card! And, of course, your simple, sweet, and CASlicious yellow birthday card warms the buckles of my CAS-loving heart! It's a perfect design for any age and any gender!! Miss you! Hugs, Darnell

Oh those sweet baby pink shaded balloons and scalloped polka dot paper is as precious as can be! I can almost get a whiff of that new baby smell! Your CAS buttery yellow balloon must be filled with the same gas that is holding up my elephant. Okay, maybe not that heavy, but who knows what's inside that gift! Fabulous Twofer, Bev (that's pronounced "Bev").

Sweet! Love your bouquet of balloons to welcome a new baby girl. Your blended colours on the balloons is so perfect ... very soft looking. Great deisgn with your scalloped borders ... you and Dolly were on the same wavelength! And your birthday card is CAS perfection Bev!!! You know how I love CAS. :) Great cards, my friend! And always nice to have an excuse to buy something new! ;) xx

I can't even imagine how you got the shading so soft and perfect on those sweet, wonderful pink balloons. How beautiful! That's what I call a baby girl card! Making a note so I can CASE you some time. Turn around and go all clean and simple on your birthday card and it just happens to be my favorite color and I love it all to pieces. Good thing I don't have to choose any single card style because I love it all!

Your ink blending on those pink balloons is fantastic, Bev. What a sweet card for a new baby girl. I love the simplicity and color combo of the birthday card. Two great makes, mf.

Absolutely perfect as a twofer! The soft sweet pink with a big bouquet is such a contrast to the simple yellow balloon and present. They are both totally charming!!

Oh goodness, what a pair of twofers Bev! I love the baby card and love the way you shaded your balloons-they have such depth! Such a sweet baby girl card for sure. Loving the papers, the banners and the scallop dies. Your CAS card twofer is so fun and festive with the balloon tied to the present! Love this idea and wish I could think up stuff like this. lol My brain just doesn't work well anymore. Certainly fun birthday card! Guess I will try and put my thinking cap on, although I think it is broken. lol Hugs, Brenda

What a sweet baby card!
That’s a very welcoming
bunch of balloons. I like
the CAS Birthday Card. I need
to make more like that and
maybe I could get them in the mail
Before the person’s birthday :-)

Oh Bev, I don't think that sweet baby card could get any more celebratory or any happier with those plump, lucious and beautifully blended balloons crowding over the polka dot pp ... it's perfect! Love the simplicity and purity of your birthday card ... those two little images and crisp sentiment have such impact against all that glorious white space ... and the blending ... wow, just brilliant! Missing you, my sweet friend ... big hugs and bisous, Anita :)

Hi Bev,
firstly thank you for your lovely comments on my blog.
I was on my way round commenting on the DT creations and got sleepy so had to have a little sleep.
That's old age for you plus I am a very bad sleeper too.
Your DT creations are so lovely and the Baby one is such a very pretty shade of pink.
I also love you design and spotty paper used.
Your CAS one is brilliant too and I do admire CAS cards as I'm hopeless with them just can't stop myself from adding more and more.
Love the ballon stamps and dies used they are brilliant.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
