Pinkfresh Challenge and Stamptember

I needed a day to just craft and not worry about what is/was not getting done around my house. Found this challenge via Shelly at Sweet Greetings (hi Shelly!!!), and since I have some Pinkfresh stamps and dies which needed a good inking up, I thought, "Why not?!" The September Challenge there would like participants to create a card (in my case) inspired by a member of the Design Team. I found a card by Natasha Valkovskaya, that I fell madly in love with. This is the link to that card; it can be found at her IG account. And for some reason unbeknownst to me, I can't seem to copy the photograph and show you here...But trust me, it's well worth a look!!

My card looks like this:

All the stamps are from Pinkfresh Studio. I crooked stamped the vase on a scrap of striped paper. Thought it had a more whimsical look that way. The flowers are watercolored with my Ziggies but rather than the more blush color, the pinks are pretty close to the light pink stripe in the vase. *sigh* I just added a few clear sequins for a smidgen of sparkle and done!

Last week I quickly whipped up a birthday card for my granddaughter. She's now a senior in high school and likes purple. I photographed it just because I liked this card, and that was fortuitous, as over at Simon Says Stamp, it's Stamptember. One of their challenges for the month is to use a Neat & Tangled product, and this card so happens to be solely N&T!

STAMPtember Neat and Tangled

And my card:

This is a NBUS set called Floral Frames. I did a little Copic coloring on several leaves, but used Zigs for the rest, as well as the flowers. I really, really like this set!

And I'm off. Need to get at least a few things done today! Have a good one, and as always...

I recently 'discovered' Pinkfresh Studio, Bev ... and am in love with your sweet, whimsical vase of delicate blooms with their soft, loose watercolouring! So gorgeous! The crisp CASness of your cool, stylish floral wreath is delicious ... the bold greens and purples are fabulous against all that glorious white space! Lucky granddaughter!! Big hugs & bisous, Anita :)

LOVE your CASE card Bev. The striped paper for the vase is such fun colours and I like that you stamped it on a wee bit of an angle. The flowers are adorable! Great card.

Your second card is a beauty. LOVE purple and green together. Amazing colouring with your Copics and Zigs. Glad you had some time to play ... you deserve it! Things can wait. xx

So wonderful to see you and thanks for visiting my blog. I haven’t been doing much blogging or creating recently either! But these are a fresh joy to see. I adore the whimsical look....can’t pull it off myself but you did it perfectly. I adore the soft colours in the first amd the bright and fresh in the second card. Sending love and hugs xx

This is a beautiful card Bev! I love the vase, the paper is so pretty and perfect on this vase. I love those soft flowers in this card, it is so calming and very peaceful. The inspiration card is so beautiful too, but I think I like yours a tad bit better! Hugs, Brenda

Both your cards are so beautiful Bev, I am partial to a bit of purple myself although it's not a colour I craft with very often... I am wondering if that's because it doesn't play well, it can be hard to 'match'. I'll bet she loved it!

Great CASEing of Natasha's card, Bev! The colorful stripes of the vase at a little angle and the light coloring of the flowers definitely give the card a whimsical look.
The second card is a CAS beauty! Your coloring is gorgeous and I love the color combo. Two fantastic cards!

Both cards are so fresh and sweet! I love those soft flowers - what a fun look with the striped vase. And the simple wreath with the bold purple is just right for a purple-loving teenager.

Hi Bev,

I have been scrolling through your blog to see what I missed from your wonderful creativity and I was so super sad to hear that both you and your darling DH have been struggling through some scary and difficult trials! It is interesting reading about your troubles knowing that a "scroll up" will give me the bottom line, so to speak. Imagine God has that going on all the time!! while you are being rushed to the hospital under frightening circumstances He knows just how it is all going to turn out! Sigh!! I pray for you for peace that surpasses understanding while you wait for complete healing and comfort for any trials you continue to face.

BIG gentle (((Hugs))) for you my happy dancing friend! - no wonder that through it all you keep smiling - : ) it is no doubt because you are letting Jesus lead the dance!!

Love the slanted design of your vase's stripes. Reminds me of the Deco style in the '50-s. Both cards are just lovely. TFS
