During the basketball and baseball games yesterday, while DH was entranced, I made a quick little card, which I'll share first. That one is going to play at Inspired By, and SSS Create and Share.
I didn't have any dies or embossing folders that would mimic the hills in this photo, but I managed to come up with a little something.
For my hill, I used a ME die and ancient scrap of slightly patterned paper. I found a scrap of blue that gave me a nice sky. The Cross and sentiment are from Pretty Pink Posh (love this font!), and the 'sun' is from Avery Elle. EZPZ lemon squeezy!
Today's card will head off to Time Out. Their prompt is "Bold," and I'd made a couple late last week. They just didn't trip my trigger. This one does:
Those are some wild polka dots, aren't they?! With that much going on in the background, it didn't need much else. I found a white circle (WPlus9 die) in my stash on my desk, and the 'happy' is a die from MFT. It's as hot a pink as on the polka dots, but it doesn't show up well. Some day, I'm investing in a super-duper Nikon. But I'd have to give up buying stamps/dies for a couple of months...don't know if I can do that...hahahaha!! Now I'm off to get a little commenting done. As always...

Wonderful cards! Thanks for playing at Inspired By!
Love those bold happy polkas! Have fun shopping.... I didn't know that we needed permission, is that what I was doing wrong (wink)!
Nothing is wrong with you, my dear! Some days everything just falls into place! Hope it continued in the afternoon, too! Glad to hear you rewarded yourself at Michaels. Hope you found what you "needed". Too bad that I only saw your permission this evening...
But to your cards: Your soft green hill with the blue sky is pretty and I love how the vine climbs up the cross! And those crazy polka dots make me so happy! Perfect for the prompt "Bold"!
Wishing that the rest of the week goes as smoothly as this morning for you!
Hugs, Susanne
Both your cards work so well for the challenges. I love your pretty Easter card and Bold Happy card. TFS Bev, Hope you had fun at Michael's too. Hugs

...okay...now that you've gotten back on your chair (after falling off when you saw a comment from me)....
AWESOME CARDS! I adore the beautiful, serene simplicity of your Easter card. Yep - that font rocks!
Your second card....WOWZERS!!! Made my polkie dot lovin' heart sing! Awesome photo - the colors on the DP are fabulous! Keeping it simple is what makes this card beyond FABULOUS!
Seriously hope that you didn't suffer any serious injuries when you when you hit the floor!
Your Easter card is wonderful, Bev. I need to make a bunch and I may borrow this layout for some of mine. The polka dots are bold, vibrant and definitely say 'happy'.
Forgot to say Congrats on your win at Inspired By. . . Well deserved.
Good for you to have such a wonderful Monday morning. About 10am Monday I was wondering what was wrong with me too, but it was just the opposite. Earlier, I mistakenly put a decaf k-cup in the coffee machine instead of a regular one!! Anyway... Wonderful cards, Bev! I love your Easter scene and how the sunshine mimics the color of the house in the inspiration photo. Your polka dots are the brightest I think I have ever seen! Perfectly bold, and as happy as the die cut word exclaims!
Ooh, you're on a roll, Bev - well done for being so organised! Love the textured-looking paper for the hill on your Easter card, and those polka dots are definitely wild!
Sounds like you got your week off to the perfect start! So love both of your cards and am so happy to see you over at Time Out!
This couldn't be more perfect for our challenge Bev and I'm in love with those polka-dots!! This card would make anyone smile and totally agree that it didn't need anything else but that sentiment. Stunning design and always fabulous to see you at TIME OUT!
Came over cuz your polka dots jumped right out at me from the TO gallery. Yep, bold. Yep, beautiful. So happy to hear your Monday went so well. Here's wishing you more Mondays like that! Your Easter card is lovely, too. Captures Easter perfectly.
Perfect interpretation of the challenge photo Bev! I love the dimension you created!!
Nothing wrong with you!! : ) you're the apple of His eye!!

This is such a perfect Easter card, wonderful interpretation and you didn't need a die, the hill is perfect, and awesome BOLD card too!
OK, cards first, Bev. Beautiful, serene and wonderfully hopeful Easter card ... your design says everything! Those polka dots are definitely wild ... and bold ... and beautiful ... the simple sentiment circle is a perfect way to show them off! So happy you had a great Monday ... hope all your following days have been equally wonderful ... and hope you got every little 'needed' thing at Michaels! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Big hugs & bisous, Anita :)
Two wonderful card Bev! Great to hear that you are making cards even with all you have going on. I guess that means the YKW's are keeping at bay! :)
Those sure are bold polka dots! I love the layout you created with the designer paper and dies. Very simple, yet absolutely effective! Thanks for joining us at TIME OUT!
Such a happy morning! I hope that your Michaels trip was wonderful too! I love your Easter scene. The cross on top of the sunburst is perfect!! And you are absolutely right on the "happy" card - the back is so "happy(!)" that is only needs the "happy" die cut!!
