Time Will Tell

Time will tell if taking time to craft was a good idea or not... I've got so much to do before company comes next week that getting ready is what I probably should be doing. I did need a bit of "me" time today however. And if I really think about it, once the little ones have been in the house for five minutes, no one will be able to tell that I've cleaned, and cleaned, and cleaned, lol! So worth every single sound of their laughter, and all the call-outs, "grandma, grandma..."

I've made a tag today. A friend happens to be expecting a baby girl at the end of December, and the Tag You're It Challenge has marvelous inspiration! See for yourself!

Hazel and Darnell really came up with such sweet baby girl tags, didn't they?! Be sure to stop over there and check out the rest of the DT's creations, too. And while you're at it, why don't you play along as well?! Come on, you know you want to....

My tag:

I sure wish you could see the colors in person. The pink isn't quite as garish as it appears and the greens are that perfect baby green...*sigh* I use an RC tag die, and a WPlus9 sentiment. The onesie is from a package of stickers that had no manufacture left. There are star sequins and I added a tiny green bling to their centers. Some ribbon and twine finish it. And now since I've got to get some things done, I'll leave you for today. Have a wonderful week, and as always...

Your baby girl tag is totally darling (and yes, well worth stepping away from the guest preparations)! The wee onesie, the blingy-stars, the pretty pink sentiment...your friend will LOVE this gem, as do I! So thrilled you shared this cutie in the Tag, You're It gallery!
Hugs and love~c

Don't sweat the small stuff and enjoy your "me" time. We all deserve that once in a while!! I LOVE your tag. The colors are perfect!!

Now you're thinking like a sane crafty person, Bevie! No one will notice, so just do the bathrooms and craft some more! Even the kitchen is a mess five minutes after everyone arrives! I'm just sorry it took me (cough) decades to finger that out for myself!

I'm so glad the pretty tag from Hazel inspired you just when you needed a baby girl tag! It's adorable! She will be a star to the new parents! (I love the polka-dotted ribbon!) Thank you for playing at TYI!! Hugs, Darnell

Tee hee ... your description of the house once everyone arrives, Bev ... so true ... just keep crafting, my friend! What a sweet tag ... so perfect in those soft colours ... and such pretty blingy detailing! Miss you! Big hugs & bisous, Anita :)

Such a darling baby tag, Bev! I love the combination of the pink and green, and great little details in the double bow and bling! Crafting makes us more efficient house cleaners. I can get that bathroom cleaned in 15 minutes if it means more craft time! Thanks for joining in on the fun over at Tag, You're It!

This is such a sweet tag, Bev. I agree with the others. The more family in the house the less anyone sees dust and dirt. Let it go and have fun crafting.

Gorgeous tag, Bev! Just remember, dull women have immaculate homes, and we're not dull, are we??

Totally sweet tag Bev, I hear you on the photography thing, sometimes it is such a struggle to get the 'real' colours, it can be very frustrating. Hope you have fun with the family!

I don't have grandkids yet - but I do have teenage boys (I still count the 21-year old as a teenager!) Personally, I deal with the chaos by simply not cleaning in the first place! Sometimes when the walls of our very small house start closing in on me - I'll tidy. But then I'm too worn out to actually clean! And besides - the craft corner is always calling my name!

You always come up with beautiful cards - and now beautiful tags too! I never think to make tags! Lovely!
