While I Have A Minute...

Fast post without (much) chatter. One card, one challenge. I've got to finish getting supper ready for me and the DH. Grandson's birthday card, which he'll get in church tomorrow. Nice kid. Got accepted and is going to Purdue this Fall. Where did that time go?

Playing along with Freshly Made Sketches, where I thought this sketch would lend itself nicely to a more masculine design.

Here is my card:

Poor photography once again. Just as soon as I win the lottery, I'm getting a fancy-schmancy camera dedicated to only cards... Yeah... Like that'll happen. I used all scraps of papers, and the "18's" are from Altnew. The HB is from MFT with ME Smoke ink. The numbers aren't in black, they're actually clear embossed. Here's a small close-up so you can see:

Hope Ben likes it, I know he'll like the $$ inside, lol!! Happy dances everyone.

It's probably more of a light situation than the camera, Bev. I bought a light box though and still have trouble even after editing them. This is a wonderful card for a now 18 year old 'man'. I have a granddaughter who turned 18 4 days ago and I said the same thing. Where did the time go?

Congrats to the grandson that made it into Purdue this fall!!! I know you are so proud of him Bev. I don't know where the time goes. My baby turns 21 tomorrow and I wonder how that happened!!! Time waits for no one! Love the card you made for your grandson! The embossed "18" looks great all over the card base. The pop of orange on the sentiment strips really pops. I bet your grandson loved this card too! Hugs, Brenda

Perfect card for a teenage guy! If he is your grandson I bet he appreciates your handmade cards as much as what's inside!

Hi Bev! Hope you're feeling well, as it's been awhile since you've posted. Not that I'm pressuring you to see another card, just want to make sure you're OK! : ) Purdue is an awesome school, you are a proud grandma I know. Love your scattered 18s on the birthday card. Such a great way to personalize it and make it special! Hugs, Kelly
