Guest Designing for The Challenge Week Four

And a happy Monday morning to you all. Before I get into the card I made for my last week at The Challenge, I want to say thanks to Lesley and the DT for having me. It's been a pleasure, and I've enjoyed myself enormously. Thank you so much!  This being the last week of the month, The Challenge has a Masculine Photo to inspire you.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYlXOrxDdZAjwC_Trh30QG9czqdPz17tTuHeOJ_SEXa8NuwC5Qc0yBcoVSKEC8OkfjMYfZyao4P_TA8AV9gt4IfaLpTuusGSKie7M7RTbholFKBRdmnSuURuCLSvQqSB37pH5nB0VOIuKC/s640/58.png

I tried. I really, really did. I had hoped that all watercolor paper which is now filling my recycle bin, would have been a fantastic card, much like the photo above. Nope. It just wasn't to be. I had to go with a more CAS card which used the colors. Now I like my card, it just wasn't the one my brain wanted! What can you do with such dramatic inspiration? I'd love to see all your creativeness. The more I look at this, the more I see endless possibilities.

My masculine card:

In real life, the colors really do mimic the truck's colors. The die is MFT, the deer is from Little B, and the stamp is SC and is ghost stamped. All the cardstock are scraps. Do play along, and happy dances everyone!

Hi Bev, well unfortunately I can't see the top picture but I love your beautiful vibrant card. The stag makes it perfect for a male card too. Barbxx

Bev this is fantastic!I love the triad of colours surrounding the deer head. Do be discouraged about the watercolouring, every time I pick up a brush I think this is going to be easy--it isn't. My recycle bin runneth over too!

Now, I love how you incorporated the colors of the inspiration photo onto your card, beautifully graphic and so totally CAS.

It's wonderful - very creative and eye-catching. Any male recipient is going to appreciate it more than a perfectly watercolored card!

"Bang On" perfect (or is that way to harsh to say out loud?). A tough color combo for a masculine card, but I'd say you nailed it! Tons of yummy white space too!

Sorry...been MIA for the past couple of weeks. 0 craft room time and .05 commenting time!

AWESOME GD projects pal!!!

Bev, I'm a little behind saying "see you later". Hope to see you play along with us more in the future. Was great having you on board for January! I really love your card! I love the design. I feel your pain too in regards to the watercoloring --- but we must keep trying! Have a fabulous week!

Hello wonderful, sweet, Bev! Hanging my head in shame at being so behind in commenting; as I mentioned in my babbly letter to you awesome gals, life’s been supremely hectic, what with work, travel (which involved work…crazy amounts!), DT commitments (which I’ve fallen behind in, too) and a plethora of other stuff! I hope that my ‘thought bubbles of love’ for all your cards have reached you, because I send them frequently! Starting with a fresh slate with a goal to staying caught up. Your card here: *stag-geringly* handsome (sorry...trying to be punny!). Definitely a manly-man card in every way! Hope you're doing well...miss you tons!
