Busy Week and CASology

It's been a little crazy around here. I'm sure you all can relate.... Since I got back from the Adventure in Prior Lake, I've been trying to get back to the realities of everyday life. And I'm dragging myself kicking and screaming back to it...had waaaaay tooooo much fun to want to deal with "normal!!" But here I am. Still managed to find time to play in my craft room, however.

Our dear Miss Darnell sent a present home with each of us with the instructions not to open it till we were home. Oh. My. Gosh. In this package was a 6x6 pad of dp, a vial of various sequins, stickers, bling, twine, washi tape, AND an AE stamp set and matching dies. I'm probably forgetting something.... I was stunned. What a doll Miss D. is! So I decided to make at least a half dozen cards and that's what I've been working on for the last several days (plus a few challenge cards...) Wanna see what I've made? Ok...

I'll just show you one by one, cuz the "group" photo stunk

Got my froo-froo on for this one, and while it's not my usual style, I like the way it turned out.

This one is a see-through shaker card. First try for something like this.

Miss D. had put a few things in a striped envelope, which I cut apart and used as a panel on this card.

This third card was fun to make. I did cheat a bit here and used my own stamp, blue cardstock, and flowers.

(Almost done...) We got really nice new neighbors and yesterday was closing day on their house. I made this card to go with a bottle of wine as a "Welcome to the 'hood" gift.

And this is the last card of the six I made with Darnell's kit. Something fairly simple in vibrant colors.

What??? Wait...Oh! No this isn't from Darnell's kit, it's for this week's CASology. The cue card is "ghost." My little ghostie isn't gray irl...the Wink of Stella is showing up like this in the photo; he's really white...Not a nice photo taking day.

All the stamps are from My Cute Stamps company. They are going out of business, which makes me sad. Nice quality stamps. The dp is a scrap of Doodlebug, and I colored the moon with a KAISERfusion marker. The black ink is Versafine. I love the little "Oooga Boooga" sentiment! It cracks me up. Anyway, since I've kept you here long enough, I'll stop now. Enjoy your weekend! Happy dances everyone.

WOW! What a beautiful bounty of creative inspiration this post is. Each card is so different and I so admire your talent to be able to turn your hand to any style. I *love* the home sweet home card too. Simple, yes, but perfect! And the little ghost is way to cute to spook. How generous of Darnell to spoil you! You deserve it though and your creations with her goodies are lovely and a gift to all who read your blog! hugs! :)

I'm so tickled to see that you had a nice play with all your kit goodies, Miss B! I didn't think you girls would get to them for quite a while. Did you see Ardyth's post? I should have had us all do a hop like Kim's 12 Kits does, huh? I've got my five made and they are winging their way to special friends, so I'll prolly post them next week.

I have to say, though, that I'm glad I got mine done before you guys or I would have been intimidated! These are all AWEmazing! You've really put on your designer hat with all these! The see-through shaker is my fave! I've now added that idea to my "to do" list. I love it!! And your W(hite)IRL ooga-booga ghostie is beyond adorable!!

Thanks, my friend, for the shout out! As I told Ardyth, that wasn't necessary! (But, darn, we should have done a hop, she says, smacking her forehead!) Have a wonderful Sunday!! Hugs, Darnell

What? You did all this awesomeness whilst still getting back to the realities of life? If I wasn't typing, I'd be speechless! I had my kit out all over my desk today ... and after seeing your cards and Ardyth's, I now have plenty to copy ... oops, I mean CASE!! You did Darnell proud, Bev! Your little ghost is such a sweetie ... all shimmery and cute! Hugs, Anita :)

So much goodness out of one little kit. These cards are wonderful, Bev, and I have to say the shaker is my favorite, too. I love when I see other people make them. Maybe it's my turn to try one.

Ok...you are just amazing my sweet friend and such an over achiever too! My goodies are all still sitting in a sweet little pile on the floor in my craft room. I do look at them quite often and think about all the wonderful things I will make with them and now look at you! You took the time to make some beautiful cards, so jealous!

That Darnell is a sweet one, isn't she?! What fun to have something to look forward to AFTER you all have returned home! Lovely cards you've made with her goodie bag, Bev. The stone hill in between the green hills you made is so charming. Love the small sentiment on it!

You did a smashing great job with your goodies! How in the heck did you come up with all these ideas? Gosh, you & Kim definitely have some amazing creative gene coursing through your veins! I must have been in the slow poke lane where the indecisive genes were being handed out!

Every single card is sooooo cool...but I'm totally loving your shaker card and that perfectly tied bow!

I second Kylie (and everyone else, too): a bounty of gorgeous cards, featuring a splendid merging of D's amazing gifts and your creativity! Each one is absolutely marvelous, and their impact is all the stronger with the infusion of love on the part of the creator and the gift giver. Awesome! Your 'ooga booga' is a-dor-a-ble! Glad you're home, even if 'normal' is a bit of a drag!
