I've got a couple of cards today. Otherwise, why would I be out here in blogland, right? Anyway... Two cards, three challenges. My first card is a fairly CAS card headed over to Color Throwdown. Check out these colors...yum!
Really reminds me that summer is on its way. Can't wait for sandals and open windows!
The gloom of the daylight has made the blue strip seem a bit garish, but irl, it's pretty darn close to the color posted. All scraps except for the base, which you can't see...it's a Michaels white. PTI stamps and die. A couple three different inks. Popped up cups. Betcha Amy T. will like this one! Hmmmmm...wonder why?!
Next is a card for the current MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge, and Curtain Call. Now, I saw the mood board over at CC, and knew I wanted to play there, but the pings just weren't coming. Wasn't until I saw the sketch at MFT that an idea finally popped. Sheesh!
And here's my card:
Lots going on here, but it took such little time to make...go figure. Started with a linen white base which came from sweet, sweet Anita on our Babes Adventure. Found an old piece of SEI dp and used a ME die for the main panel. Decided to go all shaker card for this one. Starting behind the shaker part, you can see an MFT flourish die. Various sequins, and in front of the shaker is another MFT die; happy. A strip of some glitter ribbon, cut to match the sides, and then an MFT pennant die, which is layered with some SU paper and a bit of vellum scrap. And that's about it. Hope there's sunshine by you all, and happy dances everyone!

Sweet cards Bev. I love that PTI coffee set it is still one of my favs! You inspired by the CC mood board is so beautiful! As for the rain? Got it here too the past two days, but it is a nasty cold rain that has brought YKW along with it--ugh! Thank you for sharing at the Curtain Call!
Wonderful cards, Bev! I can't wait for open windows and sandals, too! We've actually got sunshine today (& forecasted through the weekend, too!) and I'm wearing a new pair of spring pants to work. :)
I love your cards and the coffee one, perfect! The colors are so fun and I actually wore flip flops yesterday...okay, because I went for a pedi:)
Awesome shaker card...love the glittery strip of goodness!!
I would love to get together with you but can I drink tea instead? ;) Kidding aside it's a great CAS card! The second one is gorgeous and looks very elaborate - hard to believe that it didn't take you long at all!
Would you prefer snow instead of rain??? Last night it started snowing heavily here and even accumulated! It has mostly melted by now and tomorrow it's supposed to be really mild! I am ready! Think Spring!
Your coffee card is downright adorable and you're totally right about the summer business. I can't wait! It's supposed to be 60+ degrees here in North Dakota! A heat wave. And I just love the sparkle going on in your shaker!
Beautiful cards! I like the layer of vellum over the banner on ur second card :) cool idea!
fantastic cards! :)
That's one of my favorite color combos on the first. Love it...and wish we could get together for coffee as I know we'd talk for hours!
The grass is very green here, but soaking wet! It hasn't stopped raining all week!
Love the bold design of your coffee card! You totally rocked the throwdown colors! I'm another one ready for flip flops but we're getting so much rain that I may have to wish for boots!
Both of your cards just cheered me up on this gloomy day! I always think of Amy whenever I see a coffee card too. Yours is too sweet, there must be a lot of sugar in those cups! Your second card looks like a double die cut with a bonus - a shaker! So cool!
You have a versatile talent, my friend - clean and graphic and then straight to elegant and sophisticated! No sweat at all! Right? Right? :-)
Oh these are so fabulous!
Hey you! Saw the two cups of coffee and had a sharp tug of the heart strings as I was reminded of our coffee times at the Lakehouse! It's all about fun coffee time spent with good friends! Love the font of the sentiment! The blue looks great on my monitor!
Second card - wow! The shaker part is awesome...but it's what you did with the rest of the card that blows this puppy clean out of the water! The angled banner die - fabulous! The "Happy" within the circle - fabulous! And the paper - fabulous! Ya think I love this card? Ummmm.....yep!
Will call you tomorrow!
Beautiful colors, beautiful patterns. You've created some wonderful cards here. It's been rainy and cold too in Massachusetts. But the weather seems to improve over the next few days so hopefully spring will act like spring soon!
Fabulous cards....love them both Miss Bev! Your sweet coffee card is just adorable and one of my all time favorite PTI sets, so fun and so many wonderful memories after reading your post about coffee at the Lake House, so many wonderful times there!
And your second with that wonderful shaker is so sweet with "Happy" on it and that paper is so pretty too. Love it!!! Hugs...
I am ready for flip flops and open windows too Bev! We have been dreary here in PA as well. I need sunshine! lol I love, love both of your cards! The colors on both are fabulous. Love that you made a shaker card and yes, you do have a lot going on in it. I can't believe this didn't take you a long time. It would have me. lol Hugs, Brenda
I love your so crisp and clean go cups Bev. What a beautiful happy card with your scallop edges.
Love the coffee cups Bev, CAS and just perfect! I hope you get some sun. Not feeling that great today so I missed most of the gorgeous day.
Love your beautiful window card too.
Gorgeous cards, Bev! And, love your shaker card for the MFT challenge. So glad to have you play along with us. :)
The rain kept on blowing right across Lake Michigan. I know we need it but that storm last night was too much. I'm with Ardyth on these - first there's CAS and then an elegant shaker. Terrific card making, Bev!
Cute shaker with the banner. hanks for joining us at The Curtain Call.
Hello Bev, thank you for visiting my blog.
I love the cards that you have created, they are all stunning. I have become a follower and will visit again. Gail xx
Oh Bev ... YES PLEASE (hope you heard that)! That's in answer to your first CAS and gorgeous coffee card, my lovely friend ... now, where's that lottery win?!! Your shaker ... so elegant, with lovely layers and such delicious shimmer ... a perfectly perfect happy card! I'm loving that linen texture, BTW ... tee hee! Miss you heaps ... hugs & bisous, bisous, Anita :)
Sweet coffee invitation, you are on!!!!!
Super cute cards Bev. Love the coffee cups with the orange and green sleeves on the first one. Fantastic shaker. The background paper is so soft and pretty on the second. Thank you for playing along with us at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.
Sweet cards!! Love those coffee cups!! We were sunny and warm last week but, I think your weather came our way!! Thxs for joining us at CTD!
Rain...how I wish! Our forecast for the weekend involves the "s" word, so I'm hoping if I don't actually 'say' it, that will change into something more preferable! Anyway...on to things far more cheery: your duo of delights! How I'd love, love and love to have coffee with you! One of these day, please! And your second card: shaker splendid and the accessories - the angled banner, the pretty paper, the pink border - add to the impact! Another delight that has me mega-watt smiling!
Hugs~c
