Treated Myself Today

I did. I treated myself to a luxurious pedicure this morning. I feel like such a girl now! Already looking forward to the next one. The rest of the day will be spent here in the craft room, and cleaning up the house a bit before my wonderful cleaning lady comes tomorrow! Can't leave everything for Iryna.

Like many of you, I was tickled by the retro sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch. So many ways to go, but before I drifted off to sleep last night, this idea came to mind:

And my take:

I found that luscious green paper already cut to size, so then decided to pair it up with a blueish-purplish scrap. I cut the aperture with an MFT rectangle die, then cut that scrap with the Skinny Stripes die by EH. A SSS sentiment and done. It looks way cooler in real life. Why not pop on over to see it for yourself?! I'll put the coffee on (or grab the cocktail shaker) for our visit! As always my friends...

Hey! Hi! How Are Ya?!

Even though we got a little snow, even though I have to get the laundry started, and even though I need to get a jump on dinner, I know exactly where my priorities lie. In the craft room. Pretty sure you'll all agree with me. So I found a challenge and made a card. It's off to Freshly Made Sketches.

I had an idea right away. So I got all inked up. Good day for it too. I really don't feel like going out on the snowy roads today.

I'm always needing more masculine cards, and this one fits the bill I think. I used the Altenew Leaf Canopy stamp and a HA sentiment. I heat embossed my sentiment, which looks a little sparse now that I see it here, but it's down and that's that. The border die is from ME. And a few black scraps because. So I'm off now. Must get to a few things before the migraine blows up again and I have to take the meds. Ugh. As always though,

Twofer Challenge #23 ~ And A Little Something Special

Well hello, and a Happy New Year to you all! Hope your holidays were everything wonderful, and that 2020 is the best year yet.

It's time for January's Twofer Challenge, and this prompt will get you working on your Valentines Day cards:

Now before I show you my cards, I wanted to let you know that this month marks the Twofer Card Challenge's second blogaversary! Be sure you stop over at the Twofer blog's home page for all the details about PRIZES! Yep, you've read that right, there are prizes to be had! Come help us celebrate!

And for our 'Heart' prompt this month, I made these two cards:

My heart is a little die from RC. It comes as a row of hearts, like the bottom of the row of the Christmas tree, and I simply cut it apart as needed for my cards. The Valentine was so simple, and I like how it turned out. A scrap of gray stripe, a row of RC red hearts, and a couple of Jillybean Soup 'hugs and kisses' in red. For my Christmas card, that's a Gina K. kraft base. I cut down an embossed panel (TE), added my hearts and one teensy sequin to that panel, along with a Uniko sentiment beneath it. Here they are separately:

Be sure you visit the Twofer Blog and see what the rest of our DT and Guest Designers have created, and don't forget our 2nd Blogaversary celebration! See you in the gallery! And as always...
