Another beautiful spring day.  Housework done, except dinner and its clean-up, and the rest of the day is mine to make cards, scrapbook, or blog.  Life is sooo good, I'm doing the happy dance.  I decided that the wedding card I made for my friend's wedding next month would perfectly fit the bill for the PPA135 Challenge.

All paper is from Stampin' Up's Parisian Breeze collection.  The stamp from their Bliss set used with Close to Cocoa ink.  Random ribbon and flowers.  EK Success punch.

Since I have a few minutes, I thought I'd submit to "The Paper Players" Polka Dot Challenge # 96.

The yellow & white striped paper is from Echo Park, the gray, white, yellow & black polka dots are from Authentique, as is the fussy cut bunny, which is stamped with We R Memory Keepers Some Bunny set.  Happy Birthday is from the Hero Arts Classic Messages set.  Punch and Ribbon from Stampin' Up.  Love that little bunny!

Saturday's Scrap & Stamp up at church was so much fun!  Every third Saturday, our church sponsors this free event, complete with snacks and dinner.  It's a great time, and so much space to spread out and work, plus, helpful comments from all the others who scrap and stamp.  Small group this time, but we laughed so hard and all of us got so much done!  I managed several pages for my granddaughter's scrapbook, and got a head start on a couple of cards for upcoming birthdays as well.
My best friend Val is coming into town from Florida on Wednesday, and I'm very excited.  We're going to "Thelma & Louise" it all over northern Wisconsin this up coming weekend, and unless she brings her laptop, I won't be doing much blogging on our trip.  One of the places we are definitely interested in going is to Little Bohemia where John Dillinger was holed up and nearly caught.  Maybe Peshtigo, Copper Falls, and Goodman Park...  We'll see where the road takes us.  We'll spend a bit of time with my sisters who live in Rhinelander, go to church with my dad on Sunday in a little town called Wabeno; my folks were married in that church, and it's quite lovely, oh, and my friends Nate and Kati will be up north at their cabin, and I mentioned that they should come to Trinity on Sunday morning too!  Should be fun if they can make it.  Maybe breakfast at the casino following church...(no gambling though).  I'm really looking forward to spending time with Val and getting out of town for a little while.
So, here is one of the pages I did for Kelly's book.  It's an 8x8 album that the little ones generally like to read and see all the photos of themselves.  They live in AZ, so we don't get to see them all that often, but this year, Kelly will celebrate her birthday with us here!

My scanner is on the fritz, so I'm shooting with my i-phone -- very frustrating.  Anyway, I used Stampin' Up patterned papers, and their white cardstock, black and red cardstock is from Bazill, K & Company glittered letters, and a leftover brad (I just knew I should save it) from about 8 years ago.  I free cut the pinwheel, so easy to do, and then just flattened it to fit in the page protector.  Enjoy.

Here's today's card.  One day soon, I'll post some scrapbook pages, but for now, cards are just easier and faster.  Got a spring and summer full of company coming, so I'm thinking that I'm not gonna get tons of pages done.  I will do my best however.

I used my large circle punch for the "bowl", and the "bubble" border punch from EK Success for the small dots.  The "thank you" sentiment is from Hero Arts Classic Messages set. White cardstock and ink from SU, and woohoo, the green, blue and pink are from my scraps file!

Wednesday evening.

This card is for my dear friend, Jen.  I'm hoping she doesn't see this until after Saturday...

I used Simple Stories Fabulous double-sided paper, Papertrey Ink's "happy birthday" from the Birthday Basics set, K & Company's bauble and butterfly, Zva creative pearls, random ribbon and lace, and more scraps for the punched sections. Love that gingham!  So into that right now... This card makes me do the happy dance.

Today's card is a masculine design, using a Jillie Bean Soup globe from her Travel set, the "celebrate" from Unity set Webster's Pages and scraps (YESS!, don't you just love making something beautiful out of those scraps you've saved??!!) .  Hope you like this one.

I will freely admit that I am a paper-aholic and finding those really special colors and patterns will definitely make me do the happy dance.  Great new scrapbook store on the south side of Milwaukee, see the link below, and make sure you visit if you are in the area.  Quality place.  And yes, I did pick out a few sheets!  Just ask my sister Sue, or my friend Jen...okay, maybe a couple more than a few... Will hit it again as soon as I can.

Mondays.  Most people really dislike Mondays because it's the first day of their work week.  I've been very blessed to have a job where I haven't worked a Monday in several years!  Gotta love that.
Today I'm attempting the CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  If everything works, you can bet I'll be doing the Happy Dance!

And here it is...CFC52 Feathered Friends.  Clean and Simple.  SU white cardstock (love this stuff), versamark with black embossing powder, a "you are here" stamp from Jillibean Soup travel set, Inkadinkadoo bird stamp, Nothing You Could Say font from DaFonts (I can't stand to see my writing...), and a blue teardrop from Cloud9 Designs.

So this is a card I made for one of my granddaughter's birthday.  I used SU flowers, stamp, green cardstock and the tiny pink polka-dot patterned paper.  The striped paper, unfortunately, I used up and cannot for the life of me remember who made it!  Just some generic ribbon to finish.  Really easy!

Happy Mother's Day.  What a great day here in Southeastern Wisconsin!  The weather has cooperated fully, and I plan on enjoying the great outdoors today. So, not much of a blog yet, but give me time, and I will try to make this a really good place to visit.  Stay tuned....
