About this card..

This card is for another one of our kids...our youngest daughter. Her favorite color is red, so I knew that I had to go with that color. Wasn't sure what I was going to make, then I remembered I had a new stash of MFT supplies, which I won in a blog hop. I started by cutting the large speech bubble die in red cardstock, popped over and saw the current sketch over at their blog, and the card just made itself. I finished it this morning, but had to run DH around town and am only now getting to the post. Dinner looms, and I haven't got a clue what to make. Oh well, what's more important? Card making or making dinner? I'm going with cards, how 'bout you???!!

I have to tell you that if you're looking for some awesome dies, try some of the ones from MFT. Clean cuts, fun shapes, and I've found them on line, in stores, and at conventions. They've got a brand new one out, that I'm pretty sure is calling my name. Wait! Did you hear that???? Sorry, thought I heard something....
Their Wednesday Stamp Club has a fun sketch and while it's only up for a bit longer, go and check it out.

And this is what I made for DD3:

Bear with me...the red is this gorgeous rich deep red, but here it looks a bit garish! Sorry about that. All of the dies and the stamp are from MFT. Cream colored scrap of cardstock, and scraps of black and red too. Dime-store sequins. $.69 per package. 800 count per package...can't beat that! Studio G ink, and the background paper is from OA. Now before I go, you've got to see this die...the one that's calling my name. See if it doesn't start calling your name too!! Here's the link, and here's a photo:

Die-namics Swiss Dots

Oh can you just imagine the possibilities????!!!! I'm going to try to be good...I'll let you know how that goes...hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! In the meantime, happy dances everyone.

Oh Bev, I have been wanting to connect with you since your birthday, but went on holidays shortly after that, and haven't been able to get myself organized in any way since we got back last week! Getting around to pop in at last!! Your card is just lovely - your sweet daughter is going to love it! And cards vs dinner...haha NO QUESTION, hands down CARDS!!!!!!! Every time!!!

If you are barely hearing that die call your name - you need to listen harder - because it is screaming for a home! I love MFT dies - my collection is growing way too quickly. But surprisingly, I don't have that one. Hmmmm?! I love your red card. It is cheerful and funky and celebratory!

...come on...live on the wild side just a bit....and order the die! You know you wanna.....

Fabulous card - adore the bright pop of red (yes, it looks like a nice true red on my monitor) Cha-ching on the sequins! LOVE the argyle print DP - really works well with the cream and red! Great design too :)

I'm joining Geri in helping with 'enabling' - go buy the die and yes, your name is the one being called! You're also convincing me to add some MFT to my collection (like I need more dies...oh wait, yes, yes I do...), but via SSS for the 'lesser' shipping rates.). Nothing garish about your card; only pretty x lovely! Your daughter will love this! Red, argyle, and sequins (score on the #/price ratio!!)...what's not to love!! Hugs to you...and now, off to shop you go :)

You had me at houndstooth, Bevie! And then you added a hexagon and lots of sequins and that awesome red and a cool banner ... this screams winner to me!! And thanks a bleeping lot on the swiss dots die tease. I only happen to LOVE swiss dots, too, but the LAST thing I need is more NBUS!! Eeek! Hugs, Darnell

I hope by now you have given in to temptation! ;) Looking forward to seeing what you will create with the die. :) Congrats too on having a win on a blog hop. Woohoo!

It's frustrating when the colours don't photograph true to life, isn't it? Nevertheless, this card still looks fantastic as it is. The bold colours and design just look amazing! I bet your daughter loves it too. :)
