Sultry Saturday

It's hot. It's humid. And nearly time for me to put the AC on. Or better yet, a nice tall glass of lemonade with maybe just a smidge of gin in it! If I hadn't had five nights in a row of migraines, I'd seriously consider having one! It's my favorite summertime drink. If you've tried it with vodka, give it a shot with the gin...nice flavor.

Now ya know...Jackie Rockwell's got a Pantone Color Challenge over at her blog. Ten fun colors to play with, and if you haven't checked them out, or played along, I highly recommend it. I've done a few of them, and so far, all my cards have been on the more serious looking side. Went for fun today. I'm going with her Lemon Zest. Yellow is fun and happy so that's the direction I took it.

You might remember that I'm trying to catch up on cards for kids to add to my dd/ddil's Christmas stash, and I'm hoping this qualifies...
All scraps from my two big boxes, except for the card base which is Bazzill. PS tree stamp, fussy cut, LF bird, speech bubble and sentiment, fussy cut as well. N&T squeekquins (or would they be tweetquins?!). Even that strip on the bottom is a paper scrap, not washi, though it does kind of look like it, doesn't it! And with that, I'm going to go climb in the freezer and chill out! hahaha. sorry. Happy dances everyone.

I get migraines too and they are terrible! They last for at least 3 days. YIKES!

Your card is bright, sunny and so cheerful! The polka dot tree is AWESOME! Thanks for playing along again Bev!!!

After a rainy, drizzly day (with a 'rainfall warning in effect: AGAIN! Enough to give all of us here the heebie jeebies after what happened in July!), your card is a ray of sunshine! Sorry to hear about your 5-day stint of migraines: yuck! As for the heat, I'm with you. The higher the temperatures, the lower my tolerance for...anything! *Snap* comes pretty quickly when swelter-fests are going on! Despite the headaches and heat, you've created an AMAZING card! Sunny, bright, cheerful and absolutely cutie-patootie! You're fulfilling your dd/ddil's requests wonderfully! Wishes for a most wonderful evening and an even better Sunday (don't stay in the freezer too long. Frostbite... :) Hugs to you!!

We have heat here too but nothing too too bad. We do not have air other than fans so we just deal. I love your card too and that yellow tree is just too sweet. Feel better too!

What a fun card - just tweets happiness (and N & T). Hope your weather has toned down so your migraines can too.

Yuck to your migraines, Bev, hope you had a gentle night. Your card, though ... oh yes, happy, sunshiney, fun ... I'm smiling ... can't help it! An after lunch spirit lifter! Anita :)

Oh I totally thought you'd used washi tape - the paper looks so effective. I think your card totally qualifies as part of the cards for kids category. It is bright and happy and I love the tweetquins (such a great word too! lol)

Hope your head is feeling so much better, Bev! Try not to overdo it, especially with the heat!

Wow girl...you created this sweeter than sweet card even with the YKW's hanging around - way to show 'em who's boss!!! This is seriously my favorite of your creations! Honestly...just like one of the cards we see in Papercrafts magazine! You better make several of these because it will definitely be in hot demand!

Isn't yellow (lemon zest) the absolute 'happiest' of all the colors...so fitting for one of your cards dear friend!
