Did Someone Say "Polka Dots??!!!"

DH is feeling better. I can tell because he's had bouts of 'regular' crabbiness the last couple of days. That being said, he still pretty much needs me nearby...at least until his strength returns, at which point, I'm calling my sister for a lunch date and some craft shopping. Works for me, hahaha! Thanks, too, for your kind words and thoughts and prayers for him, they are truly appreciated!

Cards, you ask? Yep. Back at it. At least a bit! I've got two today. Less Is More has as this weeks challenge Polka Dots. Oh yes please!! Do check out the fantastic cards the DT have made; you'll fall in love, I promise!

One Michaels white base, one scrap of my all-time-favorite yellow polka dotted paper, one daisy, one HA sentiment, one ME scalloped circle die, and one MFT pierced circle die. And tons of white space!

And I made this next card for my son-in-law's mother. Peggy has seen the cards I've made for our kids and grandkids, and jokingly asked me to make her a card for her birthday. I know she didn't think I'd remember, let alone do it! I was somewhat stuck, until I saw a card that Kelly Griglione made. Giant ping hit, and I was able to finish the card. Here's what Kelly's looked like:

And here's how she inspired me!

I started with a blue base, and made a box with N&T's die. I LOVE THAT DIE!! Then, once I'd seen Kelly's card, I knew that candles were just the ticket. Fussy cut them, and added some yellow stickles to give the flames a little sparkle. The sentiment is from AE. I think the candle stamps are from HA, but I'm not sure. Papers are from Pebbles, and I used a variety of inks. I'd like to play along at Seize the Birthday, where it's Anything Goes, with optional topping of "Water" this week . Unless you count the blues as water, and the swirls on the candles as waves, I'm pretty sure I didn't go with the topping. And since I've kept you long enough, I'll stop now. Happy dances everyone!

Well, of course, you had to play in the polka dot challenge - it was made for you! And you created such a cheerful and sunny card! Polka dots and daisies, plus yellow and white - a match made in heaven!
And that box is adorable with all the candles coming out! Great colors, too! She will be so surprised (that you remembered) and love it, I am sure!
Hoping your husband gains his strength back soon!
Hugs!

Well for shame for shame on me for not even knowing about your hubster. I've done gone back through and read to play catch up. I'm happy to hear he's doing better... Even if that does mean the return of the crabbies. :) I just fell in love with your sweet polka dotted daisy! Bring on the spring! And I'm sure Kelly was so happy to receive your fun birthday box.

And your card for Peggy is a brilliant CASE of Kelly's bonfire card! It's wonderful to hear in your words how much better things are going and the joy you got from making these two knockouts!
