Gotta have some bokeh wine glasses at our party...
And naturally something to go in them
Oh! And how about these for treats???!!!
Is this the most perfect is this birthday cake, or what??!!
And let's not forget presents for our birthday girl!
A little framed beach glass...
Something soft and sweet
Something warm and fun
And something shiny to top things off
I'm not going to show you the card I made for her in this post. It's winging its way across the ocean, and I'd like it to be a surprise for her. I know you'll all understand.
So sorry this was so late, Maria. But I did think of you on your special day. Hope you celebrated just the way that makes you happiest. And may your year be filled with joy and wonders! Birthday blessings to you!

Wow...you truly are the party planner of the blog stars! I just love all of what you put together for Maria's birthday. I love each and every little detail.
Another fabulous soiree dear friend! The b-day cake is amazing! Can't imagine how long it must have taken you to bake and ice it!!!
Looking forward to seeing your card :)
Again you have outdone yourself, to find the perfect birthday cake, gifts, everything for the birthday girl! Hope you will show us the card, once she receives it!
Seriously, you need to take up 'real' party planning! What a fabulous array of wine-and-beach themed items. The 'real' wine and glasses: sign me up for a taste or two! And the cookie version: sign me up for a taste or 12! The necklace: oh my! I'm not one for jewelry (because I'm a cheap-o) but this one, I'd wear for sure! Another smile making post!
Hugs, love and misses~c
I am in total agreement with Carol in that you need to take up party planning in real life Bev! You have thrown Maria a fine birthday party, loving the location and all the party goodies. I'm late myself so trying to get caught up with all my commenting. It is going to take me a while! But like you said, better late than never! Hugs, Brenda
Another wonderful party, Bev (as was Kim's). You have such a knack of making fabulous choices for the birthday girl :)
That sandy beach in the first shot... my head is buried in it. In shame. You dear, sweet, wonderful lady. I am here to search for the most fabulous, gentle and serene happy birthday CAS card on your blog - to thank you for sending it my way - and what do my (now teary) eyes see? This perfectly planned party of yours in my honor. That I'm just seeing now due to the Easter/Easter break crazy days at our house. Shame upon me. Vielen, vielen dank meine liebe. And may we break open one of those wine bottles together (your beach or mine) one day soon. Thank you so much for being so incredibly kind, Bev, even in the midst of your stress playing nurse. I do hope everyone is getting back to health and maybe even enjoying the first signs of Spring. Giant hug across the pond.
Another fantastic celebration, Bev ... two in one week ... and I missed them both (at the time!) ... good thing they just keep partying on! Hoping to see your card as I'm meandering through my catch up! Hugs & bisous, Anita :)
You choose the perfect setting for a wonderful party, Bev - what a beautiful beach and wonderful drinks to enjoy on the sand chairs!!!! As soon as I have visited all your posts of the last week or two, I'm off to meet Maria in Blogland - I can't wait to visit her blog and see what she makes!!!!
