You know her, you love her and here's more proof that she's one brilliant and super fun cardmaker.
Darnell has come up with a great blog hop especially made for April Fool's Day.
Here's the gist....
If you have ever completed a card, and then discovered a boo boo that made you feel like an April Fool, this hop is for YOU!!
- The linky tool for MY BIG FAT CARD BOO BOO is going to be open for24 HOURS ONLY from 12:05 a.m. PDT on April 1, 2016 to 12:05 a.m. PDT on April 2, 2016.
- You can only enter once and you must be a follower.
- You CAN link a card that you have previously posted on your blog! (That's the whole point! We feel especially foolish when we don't see the boo boo until after we published or sent our cards!)
- This is a blog HOP. While hopping to every blog is not an absolute requirement to enter, you should make every effort to hop through the gallery and visit your fellow boobs, er, boobooers! Share a laugh, be a good sport, and have a good time!
You should not link a card that you think is your ugliest.
Rather, you should link a card that you think is your boobiest!
You know, a card you made that passed through your Quality Control Speculations and went out the door with proverbial toilet paper hanging out of its pants!
For instance:
- Maybe you generated your sediment on the computer and it said, "With Symphony" instead of "With Sympathy."
- Maybe your die-cut vehicle only had three wheels,
- or your reindeer one antler,
- or your flower vase was upside down.
Are you in?
Rack your brains, paw through your photos, mangleate your memories and then circle your calendar to link your card here on April 1st!
Heck, even if you no longer have a photo, but you have a really funny story about the time you were a Card Boo Boo Fool, link up any ol' card just so you can tell us the story in your post!
Since this is only a one-day party,
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

with our boo boos on display
My booboo's are many. Almost all of them end up in the recycle bin, or the salvageable bits and bobs reused on other cards. I panicked because I hadn't saved any of the booboo cards, and I wanted to link up to this hop....Then I started working on this week's Muse Challenge. Won't be playing along. Wanna see why? Okie Dokie:
Booboo card #1:
Ugh!! Just look at those stems. And lets not even go into the horrid watercoloring and my epic fail at blue shadowing. Pure YUK. Booboos all over the place.
Booboo card #2
Same stamps, different techniques. More epic fails. Uneven inking on the blooms. Sucko 'grass' and even more crapola stems; this time with crapola leaves. Guess who WON'T be playing along at Muse this week.... And there you have it. Booboos times two. It's good we can laugh and/or learn from our mistakes. And yes, these booboos will be making a long stop in the recycle bin, haha! So stop over at Darnell's and link up. Enjoy the hop, and play along!

I thought boo boo number two looked pretty good to me. I like it but then we cant help but be our own worst critics. boo boo number 1 yes that looked much like the one I threw in the bin. Have to start saving them for next years challenge so I can have a bit of choice.
Yes, I think we can all safely say, "been there, done that" and then, like you say, "laugh at it" (I can't say I learn from it because I make the same boo boos time and again, but at least I can laugh at it). Like Aileen says, your second one is OK, don't bin it, it's 'arty'. TFS. Happy April Fool's Day! Hazel xx

We are our own worst critics, I thought booboo #2 looked pretty good too. I am not a CAS stamper so I could crop it and add it to a patterned background and have a new card. love poppies though.
My wonderful Bev...yep, been there, done that, too...although your Booboo #2 does look quite pretty! I say "keeper", and perhaps transforming it into a tag might give it the transformation you're looking for. Those flowers are vibrant and lovely (a reminder that I have this set, woefully neglected!). This 'crowd' is wildly applauding your card/post! Off to get mine done...
Hugs, love and misses, sweet friend,

Oh, what a fun idea!
Oh I agree.....#2 isn't as bad as YOU think.
Many ideas on how it could have been saved, but let's face it.....at that moment all those "ideas" are no where to be found!!!
OK, call me a newbie but I sure would accept either card! Not happy with a card? Does that mean booboo? Well, I better start all over...
I love poppies, Bev! Your adjectives are very funny. :) Will you try doing a similar card again?
You are funny! and right they both took terrible! these other ladies are lying to you! LOL Just kidding Bev : ) you are too hard on yourself! these cards both qualify for the Muse! giggles... crapola leaves...heeheehee
Happy April!
Patti
Bev, I believe you are TOO hard on yourself!
I think both have a lovely Whimsical feel to them...have you seen work done by trendy book illustrators and fabric designers?
https://www.instagram.com/lillarogers/ for instance.
Actually the second one looks pretty good to me. But either are not that bad. One could call it a more modern looking poppy design. I am just getting into water coloring and I know I have had things look a lot worse.
Stems are my nemesis, too. They make me want to pull my hair out, but then I'd be bald. What a shame it happened to these stunning flowers of yours.
Nah, you could have done a lot worse, those would have been n my success pile! Cara x
I think your second card is pretty, but I get it when it's not what you're shooting for. Thanks for sharing your "almosts"!
What a fun challenge/hop.. your second card looks nice the first however.. I'd love to see a final copy.
Okay, I have to say number 1 is a little sad, but I really like boob, er boo boo number 2, Bevie! Does that make me a boobie, too?! I'm thinking of future gifts for you, like a set of stem and leaf stamps, or, say, a ruler! You know I love ya, BABE, and I only tease ya so bad cousin I do!! Happy April Fool's Day and thank you so much for being a great sport and playing in my first BFCBB Hop!! Mwah!! Hugs, Darnell
Ha ha ha you are making me laugh Bev, yes you are too hard on yourself. Honestly card number 2 is a keeper! Have wonderful weekend!
These aren't so bad, Bev! Pop some butterflies on them and they'll be good to go! I think we are our worst critics!
Hi Bev, I struggle with watercoloring, so your #1 boo-boo looks pretty good to me. Not really seeing any boo-boo on #2 either. But I enjoyed hearing the backstory, and I think we've all been there, done that...I learn a lot from reading how somebody 'saved' what they thought was a not-so-great effort. Happy A/F Day and TFS
And you probably put a lot of time into them, right! Like someone said, you could probably make some pretty tags, or I'd save them and put them in an art journal, spritz some more paint and colors over them and you can say it was meant to look that way. (By the way, they're not all that bad, but we all have our own standards and expectations so I get where you're coming from.)
They looked good to me, we all tends to be too hard on ourselves aren't we?
Actually, not too bad! I am not brave enough to even attempt painting like that, so you are waaaaaaaaay ahead of me!!! TFS.

Oh my, I think we all have been there and done that. Well maybe not all of us, but me for sure! I'm not good with watercoloring. I try here and there, but kinda' stick with what I know I can't mess up. So that is just water splats! lol Or messy watercolor for a background. Coloring-yeah, not me, not well enough. But I do think that you second try is looking pretty dang good to me. You flowers look so pretty, and I think you can fix the stems and connect them to the flower. And as for the grass I think you can add to it and it will look fabulous. I say go for it!!! Hugs, Brenda
You had me laughing as much as Miss D does with your post! You could explain that these flowers are a "whimsical" image and that's why they look as they do! Add some butterflies and buttons- nobody will ever notice the boo boos you see! :)
Good to see you had another go! In time you might find a way to save these :) Thanks for sharing. I like the idea above of adding a butterfly :)
Well Bev your second attempt looks pretty good to me...don't we all 'have a go' and mess up but with watercolouring the paper/card can be a problem...keep going some of mine have made it to the bin.
All I can say is I wish I was as talented as watercoloring as you are your second attempt is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your boo boo its nice to know that the crafters we admire are human too,
Marie
Well, thank you, my friend ... you just had me falling about at your booboo descriptions ... and just think if you hadn't made them I wouldn't have had that this bright Saturday morning! Card 1 ... yep, have had a whole meadow of cards that turned out similar ... Card 2 ... don't feed the paper bin ... it's delicate and pretty ... I do love that poppy set! Bon samedi a toi, mon amie, quand tu te lèves! Hugs & bisous, Anita :)
I think we are own worst critics, but I can see why you don't want to post cards if you're not happy with them and think you can do better. Reminds me of something Jennifer McGuire said: Do I love all the cards I make? No! Do I send them anyway? Yes! Because someone out there will love it, and they will appreciate the fact that I'm sending them a hand-made card. Having said that, I still have a Christmas card hidden in the closet that I'm not happy with, even though my husband did like it...
It's always good to have a pair of boobs! Seriously though I think these are lovely, not booboos at all!
Jane
We all know that "in real life" I'm pretty much 'boob-less' but in the card making world, my bucket of 'booboo cards' overflows!
Had Eric' b-day party yesterday, so didn't have time to join Darnell's fun event!
Enjoyed your cards! Honestly, I thought your cards were okay cuz the 'wonky' images totally work with boo-boo stamping!!!
I actually like the second card a lot...but what do I know? Ha! Those flowers have a real whimsical look that should never end up in the recycle bin. Go ahead, grab them back out while I wait. Now, just trim the image a bit and mat on sheet of black cardstock...trim and mount on the white card base again....a masterpiece!!!
I'm with everyone else Bev. I actually didn't think your cards were too bad, especially the second one. A few quick fixes & additions and they would be great cards.
I think next in line should be a "how I fixed my boo boos" hop. If this is the worst you've done, Bev, I'd say you're doing pretty good. Maybe if you stamped the outline on the first card and added leaves you'd be happier with it.
I actually like your cards...don't look that much like boo boo's to me...
Thanks for sharing...
I don't think your boo-boos are that bad Bev!! I usually throw mine out!! I like the bright colors you used on them.
I think you are too hard on yourself - others call this artsy and that's what this is!!!! I would add splatters - they work their magic on anything and perhaps a sentiment to cover up that disconnected leave and voila you'll have a really pretty card!
I think if you add a sentiment at the bottom of the first card it can still work, Bev - I'm sure you have a lovely sentiment stamp with lovely fonts that will rescue your card from the bin!!! (adding stems to flowers are always a struggle for me!!!!) And the second one is fine with the lovely flowers and the bit of green sponging at the bottom!!!! You're too hard on yourself, my friend - but I think that's a problem we all have, hey!!!!
Hugz
Well known boo-boo also in my craft hole. :-)) Your idea was fabulous. I like poppies. :-)) And I like your post. I laugh during reading. :-))
