Squeaking In

With less than two hours to go for the current Curtain Call Challenge, I actually have a card. I finished it yesterday, but had so much going on that I had to wait to post it until this morning. So will cut to the chase, no chatter this morning.

And mine in non-traditional colors:

Neenah white base, with a scrap of dp, and scraps of orange and green. The onsies stamps are from Newtons Nook, the sentiment from SU. Black SU ink, and Copic markers on the onsies. Red, blue and orange sequins, and a bit of KF twine for the clothesline. The frame was cut with an MFT die.

And while I'm here, I might as well add the second card. One for The Card Concept Challenge. Using a chipboard butterfly, I kept this one simple. Not CAS, but more clean and layered...I think.

And my butterfly looks like this:

Again a Neenah white base, a Gina K. woodgrain textured panel, three little pearls, a scrap of green ribbon, a PTI sentiment and some Ranger green ink. EZPZ. I don't remember who made the butterfly, sorry. It really looks pretty irl. So before I'm off and running AGAIN today, happy dances everyone.

Great cards, Bev!! Really love how you mimicked the circles on your patterned paper with the sequins. And your muted butterfly is beautiful!

Love this- it's so refreshing to see a baby card that's bright and beautiful rather than just pastel ( altho there's def a place for pastel new baby cards!). Your blog always makes me smile! x

Thanks for the email, Bevie. It's so good to see you crafting! Between the YKWs and being constantly on the go, you amaze me that you can squeeze in cards and blogging! Both cards are fabulous! I love that the paper background on the baby card reminds me of a mobile! And your butterfly card is so elegant!! Take care! Hugs, Darnell

My oh my...you have definitely been making up for lost time! Ya kicked those YKW's to the curb and off you went a'craftin!

First up - the gorgeously sweet baby card! These colors are awesome - fun & fresh! The wee perfectly cut onsies are adorable, the three blings are perfectly placed and the clothesline creates a fun 'swinging/rocking' rhythym to your card! Yep - shout outs coming for this happy card!

Next, the mouth dropping elegance of your butterly card! Wow Bev! This is stunning! The three pearls in varying sizes - wow; the ribbon - wow; the gorgeous butterfly showcased so beautifully in the circel cut-out - another wow; and the curved bottom with the sentiment so perfectly placed....off the charts WOW! Yep, more kudos heading your way!

I love your vivid baby colors! Personally, I am so not a pastel person that it's hard for me to do sweet, pastel baby cards. Plus, I've always thought that the bright, cheerful colors were really what new parents needed!! Great job!

Speaking of pastels(!) - the butterfly is so elegant! I love the curve highlighting the sentiment - a lovely touch!
