Okay, so no one wants to hear about the hot and humid weather in the Midwest.  Most of us are holed up in our air-conditioned homes waiting for the cooler temps to arrive over the weekend.  Thus...time to make a card for Mary's birthday and get finished with Kelly's scrapbook.  Will post those pages at a later date.

I decided to try a card for CFC-60. It's out of my comfort zone -- text in the design.  But it's good to try new and different things, so here's my take:

I started with SU white cardstock, and scored about 1/2" in from the edges.  I found an old (2005) double sided piece of Happy by Around the Block and stamped the rose image from SU's Growing Green set; first on the text side and then on the coordinating plain colored side.  Fussy cut both, and placed the colored side on the card, pop dot, the then text side.  The "stem" Happy Birthday is from MFTs Birthday Princess, and last, amber-orange bling from Crystal Stickers.  There really is text on the rose.  Have a cooler weekend all.

I can see it! If I click on the picture, I can see the text on the flower, and it looks great! I also love the way you incorporated text by using a sentiment for the stem. Thank you so much for playing along with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
