Like most of us, I needed more 'manly' cards in my stash. Not only to send out to family and friends through the year, but also to be put in the collection of cards I have in my credenza (just had to use that word - go ahead, say it out loud...lol
Cre Den Zaaa). Those cards are sorted and divided and piled onto a dining room table full of card-sized boxes, where they're given matching envelopes, and placed inside those boxes. Then they're given to all the kids, several of the grown-up grandkids (who've begged for a box), and a couple of special friends as Christmas gifts. I always try to put a couple of 'manly' cards in everyones' stash. And I'm behind on those. This is all a prelude as to why you'll see the card I've made for today. I used the sketch portion of the
Fusion Challenge and gave it a very (to me) masculine feel. I may just make a couple more!
I love the colors and the kitschy look of that camper, but as mentioned, I needed to make masculine cards...So I came up with this:
I'm desperately trying to use some of the papers that I love so much. This is one small section of one of those well-loved and never-used papers. The Verve sentiment was heat embossed on a scrap of black, and the circle was cut with MFT dies. I made some triangles with my Silhouette, and added some green dots for color. And there you have it. Pretty EZPZ. Hope all is well with you and...

A fantastic masculine card and I don't blame you for loving that paper!!
My masculine stash of cards is seriously depleted, I've gotta get to and do something about it as well! Thanks so much for the inspiration and the reminder, your card ticks all the boxes when it comes to a men's design!
Great card. Love the triangles around the edge of the circle!
Fabulous, graphic card! Love the triangles! I admire you for being strong enough to use your favorite papers! Hope it will rub off on me...
Awesome! I love this design my friend!!
What a blessing you are to your family and friends, Bev - it is a sweet gift to give your handcrafted masterpieces to them so the giving continues : ) Brilliant idea.

very artsy with your great triangles. awesome card :)
You succeeded brilliantly with your manly take on the sketch, Bevie! Is it wrong that I thought of a pizza pie and slices? I mean, you can't get much more manly than that - what guy doesn't love pizza, right? But, seriously, what a generous mom and grandma and friend you are to make so many card-filled boxes to give away! Mwah! I have all I can do to keep cards in my stash so I know you are one busy lady! And well done overcoming that paper hoarding!! Miss you and love you! Hugs, Darnell
Cool, graphic and deliciously manly, Bev ... brilliant colour combo ... I especially love those tiny pops of bright green! What a lovely idea to create gifts of cards for all your family ... they get to enjoy owning your fabulous cards (even fleetingly!) ... and get the added bonus of sending them out for someone else to enjoy and love! What a virtuous stream :). Thinking of you, mon amie ... and missing you heaps! Big hugs & bisous, Anita :)
OOOO! This has such a great graphic appeal to it! It's definitely masculine worthy with all those hard edges and cool grays. Awesome!
Wow, you knocked it out of the park with this man-card! The colors (love the gray and black with the pop of lime) are spot-on-perfect and the triangles! Oh my gosh, I am loving those triangles. What a GREAT take on the sketch!
I'd say you captured manly perfectly, Bev. So graphic and eye catching.
Ahhh....masculine cards. Hmmm...should really add some to my stash. Yours is PERFECT!!
Love this card, Bev. Wonderful inspiration ... always looking for those inspiring designs to make cards for my grandsons. Hugs!
