Easter Blessings to You!

Wishing you all the wonderful blessings that Easter brings! After talking with my son a bit ago, we both decided that nothing at all, ever, is better than Christ's Resurrection! I still marvel at this gift.... Can't wait for all that beautiful music during the Easter Festival Service tomorrow in church!!! Wish we could all sing together!

And I actually have a card. DH is feeling a bit better, so I thought I'd spend a little time in the craft room today. Broke out some NBUS SSS stamps, and my Zigs (even I can watercolor with them!) to make a card for this week's Muse Challenge. Tracey has made a very Springtime card, and I did my best to put that feeling into mine. I was inspired by her colors, her watercoloring, and her flowers. Check out Tracey's card:

Isn't that just lovely?! I keyed in on the pinks as you'll see...

That's a ME die, and some TH Antique Linen for the flowers. A WPlus9 sentiment and some random sequins finish this off.

Just wanted to say thanks, too, for all your kind thoughts and words as DH works hard to get better. He's moving in the right direction I'm glad to say! Blessed Easter and Happy Dances everyone!

Bev, I couldn't agree more about Easter and the glory of the Resurrection! We are off to celebrate the Easter Vigil later this evening, but I saw your gorgeous card and had to stop by. I have also been meaning to send your husband get well wishes, as I have been reading your blog posts but just catching up on commenting today. I do hope he continues to recover quickly. So, your card...absolutely GORGEOUS! Such soft colors, and I adore the sentiment (I really need to get that set!). A perfect interpretation of Tracey's beautiful springtime card. Your pinks are so perfect, and the soft touch of green and yellow is perfection! Best wishes to you and yours for a blessed Easter!

Hi Bev,
I so agree with you about Easter ...
Christmas is like the prelude to the event and then the great most "exciting-ist" event of our year ..

For He is risen indeed!! we have already had our resurrection service with morning and sang the hymns with great verve.
Wonderful, stunning work on both card .. love the subtle tones well done!
Thanks so much for the inspiration.

Yes, knowing and believing He is Risen is so wonderfully spirit-lifting! We've found a church celebration here in my mom-in-law's city, so I'll be off to that later this morning. I'll miss the family gathering at my mom's (the first time she'll have hostessed a dinner since my dad passed...but given that I'm not ready to face the 'empty' spot at the table means that being here is a blessing in and of itself). Great to hear that John is nearly 100%. Your card: swooning inducing! The water-colours and flowers: perfect match! Soft, pretty, delicate...a gorgeous bouquet for this Easter Sunday! Wishing you a beautiful day, my friend, filled with joy...and a morsel or 12 of chocolate, too!
Hugs, love and misses,
~c
