Happy Friday

Hope your upcoming weekend is fun-filled and relaxing! Are you going to watch the Super Bowl? Not me... Downton Abby is on, and since it's the series finale, I'm not missing a single episode! I know, I know - I could DVR it, but I can't wait that long, lol. Tomorrow I'm heading out to Polka Dots for a spot (haha) of shopping with my sister, Sue, and her friend Teri. Then it's to lunch at a little place that makes some of the best tamales I've ever had. It's going to be a great day!! Sure hope I can sleep tonight for all the excitement! Wish you all could come along too!

And I've got a couple of cards to share with you today for several different challenges. While I'm still struggling with YKWs a bit, it's okay. I'm doing my best to live "normally" in between. Botox is coming up in less than two weeks, and I know that it will be better then. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers; they are sincerely appreciated.

First up is a card that will go into CAS(E) This Sketch, Addicted to CAS, and Addicted to Stamps and More.

This is what I came up with this morning:

Pretty simple and it was a QAEZPZ card to make too! MFT oval and sproingy dies. Scraps of red and gray card stock. A Studio Calico (SC) stamp using ME Apple ink. The white oval was layered three times to add a smidgen of dimension. Love how the curly-cues on the stamp mimic the two sproingy die cuts.

My second card heads off to the AEI{Heart}U Challenge. The stamps are all NBUS, and I couldn't wait to break them out and use them.

Challenge 33 alt

Now these two little sweeties are certainly BFFs!

Aren't they the cutest little cherries ever?! They're from AE's last release, and I love them!! I used two ME dies to frame them. A scrap of red, some Michaels white, a bit of sponging with distress inks, some Copic coloring, and Versafine black ink. Oh and even though you can't see it very well, there's a ton of Glossy Accents on the cherries. Looks really cool in real life. And I'm off to set some rolls out for dinner tonight. Happy dances everyone!!

This is CAS perfection. Love the striking red. Now as for Downtown...shall I tell you what happens? Get the tissues ready! They are doing a film so it won't be quite the end. Have a fun day tomorrow xx

Two great cards Bev. Yes you just had to put glossy accents on those cute cherries. I love the way you've framed them and the dotty ribbon is just perfect - I nearly said the cherry on the top!

Have a lovely time out tomorrow Bev and enjoy your meal. Barbxx

Your cards are so cute! Those sproingy things are so fun and those cherries? Yummy and adorable paired with that sweet sentiment!
Have a great weekend (I am not watching the Super Bowl either - much prefer Downton Abbey - but Starwars with my son tomorrow),

Your sproingy Hello: sheer delight! As for those cherries: how could a person not break into a mega-watt smiling in seeing them, in all their juicy red, shimmery yumminess! Those faces are priceless! Nestling them in the scalloped circle frame, adding a strip of pretty polkie-dots and placing the works on a red panel...perfect! Ooh la la lovely! Wish I could come shopping with you! Have a ton of fun!

Hey there stranger! Nice to hear that you are feeling a bit better! Hope you enjoyed a fun day shopping with the girls :)

Totally loving the red & white sweetness you created! The sproinky card is so cute - especially how the swirls in the sentiment match!

The cherries made me smile all over my face! Not only cuz there is some polkie dot paper but the cherries are so darn cute! The gloss shows up really well on my monitor! Sweet 'punny' sentiment too :)

EZPZ Bright and breezy. Love your 'hello' card, Bev. Well, I love the cherry one, too. Can't discriminate. ;) The scallops frame them so well and of course they need a dose of GA.

Glad to hear that the migraines are tolerable at the moment. I hope you get your Botox soon and feel wonderful and normal once again! Both of your cards are fabulous! I love your take on the sketch, so cute and just perfect. I too, love how the curly cues on the stamped sentiment mimic the sproingy die cuts. Your second card is simply adorable! Love those cute cherries and the die cut opening you have them in. The polka dot ribbon is fabulous as it the scallop mat. Hugs, Brenda
