"Got My Mojo Working..."

Muddy Waters, one of my ultra, ultra favorite blues singers of all time ever, sang those words (blog post title) back in the 1950s. I love listening to the blues, especially the Delta Blues and the Chicago Blues and even took a History of the American Blues course when I was in college. While I could expound quite a bit on them, we'll let the blues rest today with encouragement to give a listen to Mr. Waters; he was amazing.

My mojo was working overtime this morning. I somehow managed to make four cards, with starts on three others. If I didn't have to run a few errands, I think I'd get through them too. But let's see what I have managed to finish today, shall we?!

Starting with my favorite sassy Santa, I'm playing along with Curtain Call's current challenge:

My card uses a reply from Santa, rather than a request to him.

I think that this stamp and sentiment from Ellen Hutson is genius. Cracks me up everytime... Michaels white base, a RAK tag from sweet Amy Tsuruta, a legless Christmas tree brad, red Copic, and a bit of white flocking. The rectangles were cut with MFT's dies. Pretty darn simple.

Next is a card with a few NBUS stamps. I was naughty (hmmm....wonder if that Santa card was made for me by me subconsciously......). I got a great order from SC, and the fruity stamps are fast becoming some of my favorites. This card will head into Less Is More 252, where the recipe is to use fruits. And since I've use a some favorites, I'd also like to play at the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge.

SIP Any Challenge 25 800

Just a little one-layer card.... SC and PTI stamps.  Versafine black, PTI green, and Ranger yellow and brown inks. Can't get much easier than this one! But I like it.

And my final card of the day (I'll show you #4 another time) is a total PING card.  I saw a card on Anita's blog which she was entering into AAA Cards, and like a lightening strike, a design appeared in my little pea brain, and alakazam, it went right to paper. So I'll play there too, and also in SSS Work It Wednesday

Ta-Da:

More NBUS decorates this card. Not sure if I've used the LF snowflake dies before, but just in case, here they are for new or for not new. The box, however, is new. It's from ME and came with a ton of amazing dies. I added a little shading with some ME Hazel ink. The sentiment is also LF, and I used some ME Apple ink. Pretty easy. And that's it for me today. Hope you all are doing well and happy dances everyone!

Totally perfect Bev all three. Love that 'saw that' its a favourite term around here when my daughter gives me the finger when she doesnt like what I tell her (developmentally she is a peptual young girl/teen with an attitude) and the whole conversation is signed. She hates when I catch her out and sign 'saw that', stomps foot and leaves room usually sneaking in another finger lift if she thinks she can get away with it. Even known to hide it behind the doorway as she goes. So I had a very good chuckle over that one. Love the box too with all the snowflakes falling out, clever mojo.

Do you wanna send some of that crafty MOJO my way, please? I looked at my pathetic stash of Christmas cards and sighed last night. Sigh* Love that funny Santa - especially how you made his beard!

You gotta take advantage if the mojo runs strong! Glad you could do just that, Bev! That Santa card is so much fun - the tree brad is perfect on it! The pineapple card is also great and the snow falling out of the box is so cute! Looking forward to see the rest of your mega cardmaking session!

Wow! I'm sayin' that this post is full of 'alakazam--kabam' (the ramped up version of aladazam!)

Santa...well what can I say other than so darn cute and sooooo sweet. This would be THE perfect card for Eric...right from when he was a newborn babe to current age...

The pineapple...well darn near fell off my chair when I read 'one layer'. AWESOME shading to create 'for real life depth'.

Deck the Halls... my fav! The subtle shading is so effective, but it is the idea that is beyond clever! Sweet sentiment too :)

A fabulously productive day I'd say!

Love it when you get back to pinging, Bev ... what a brilliant selection of cards! You always work magic with that little Santa ... he's brilliant, especially with that texture-y beard! That front and centre pineapple is just delicious ... and oh my, your flurry of gently falling snowflakes ... soooo pretty ... honoured that one of my cards inspired this ping, my friend! Miss you tons! Hugs & bisous across the miles, Anita :)

Maybe that Santa card is for me, Bev, because I've been naughty ordering things, too. That pineapple is wonderful and I can see it with a 'welcome' sentiment. I love the box and the falling snowflakes. It's such a cute idea. I'm glad some pinging was going on. ;)

Last year I said I must have that EH Santa set so this year I bought it. But it is still officially NBUS since I don't seem to have the time to figure out how I want to use it. There's always next year! It's lovely to see you so productive in the craft room. I'm so envious!

Great cards Bev, gotta say that pineapple really makes me happy!

A trio of festive delights, my friend! Your *saw that* Santa makes me laugh, especially since Ms. T and Mr. C are of the age where I can use that phrase on them when they're in 'shenanigans' mode (pretty much all the time). One layer on this pineapple card? Oh my...and how yummy-marvelous it is! Your colouring rocks. The flurry of snowflakes spilling from the box is sheer delight! An *alakazam* post in every way! Miss you; sending a virtual big squeeze your way! Hugs and love~c

The first time I ever saw the Ellen Hutson stamp was on a card you had made - loved it then, love it now. So clever! And you totally rock at using it too. I'm totally out of the loop with new stamps and dies. The pineapple looks amazing and I love the big sentiment! The box die is too darling as well and I love the spilling out of snowflakes. We need to craft together as I just know you'd have ME *thinking* outside of the box creatively! big hugs!
