Two Cards Today

Somewhere along the line, I've gotten so where I have a hard time just posting one card. Had one made from late yesterday, but just couldn't post it. It felt like I needed a second card before my fingers would click the "new post" button on my blog. Sheesh! In my mind, I'm saying to myself, "well, I hope it was worth it!" Guess we'll see...

My first card is going to Uniko, where I've chosen to make use of their lovely sketch, which you'll see in a minute. Then I want to send this over to Less is More, where the challenge is to combine three of their past challenges. I chose Week 26 "Feeling Fruity", Week 38 "Polka Dots" and finally Week 213 "This Makes Me Happy."  Without sounding weird, this card does make me happy. And boy do I need that after this week!

"Less is More"

I kept it fairly CAS. Started with a Michaels white base and scrap, which I die cut with my PPP little square. Added a scrap of polka dot cut with MFT's pierced rectangle which I adjusted to make a square. MFT's flourish sits behind the popped up focal panel. The stamps are W Plus 9 used with various inks. You know... this does make me happy!

This next one has a playdate at CAS(E) This Sketch, and also over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where it's Anything Goes. Busy little card...

Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog

Got a few weirdish things going on here.... First, the leaf is gold. NOT green. Gold. The walls in my (hahahahaha) photography studio (living room) are green. Next, the gold inks I wanted to use just looked goofy next to the Punchinella vellum (SC), and the gold leaf. It's brown ink. I know, right?! Hazel by ME to be exact. But it works. I cut the leaft with an MFT die. And all on a Michaels white base. Kept this one CAS. I like it that way. And I've got to run. Time to get the salmon ready to go under the broiler. Yum! Have a beautiful Palm Sunday tomorrow. Happy dances everyone.

Two FABULOUS cards! I think combining three challenges in one, is a enough of a challenge! lol You nailed it! ;) Love that peach! Your second card is so sweet and clean...it's perfect! I know you had some troubles with your photo (and trust me when I say, story of my life! lol) though, your outcome is perfectly usable! ;) And hey, I have one of those 'fancy studios' too! ;) Enjoy your weekend!

Two gorgeous cards Bev. It's so funny how we all get our own little routines/rules that we feel like we need to abide by! Love how you put the flourishes behind the peach. Perfection! Always love coming by your blog!

Polka dots always give off a happy vibe and combined with the swirls and that sentiment it just IS a happy card. Nothing weird about it! And the second card is so elegantly CAS - love it!
Happy Palm Sunday to you, too!

I saw the peach and immediately thought, "This is my new fave Bevie card," but then I saw the leaf and THAT became my new fave! You really have me swooning over these two, my friend! They are both CASlicious and winners in my book! Do you think my new routine this year of doing two cards every time I do one card is rubbing off on you? I'm seeing lots of others doing it to this year. Although your two are not using the same product, so who knows? I just know that I love it when you post, whether you do one card or more!! As for these two, I'm pinning them! I hope you have a wonderful Palm Sunday, too! Miss you! Hugs, Darnell

OH...MY...GOSH...these are seriously THE two most amazing cards EVER!!! The peach is so perfectly clean & simple with a color combo that is soothing and so pretty. The swirls behind the frame - wow!

The honeycomb, embossed leaf and graphic sentiment is ....perfect! You've left me nearly speechless!

Yep...WWCD x 2!

Bev, I'm swooning (which is normally reserved for butterfly cards, so that's a telling sign!) over the cas-ilicious beauty of both your cards. The peach is simple, yet stunning; cute, yet classy. Gorgeous. Your leaf, paired with the honeycomb background, is utterly lovely! I agree with the other gals: these are top-notch, extraordinarily fabulous (rather like their designer). Mom and I are off to Palm Sunday mass in the next hour...may your day (and all days) be filled with blessings...

Funny how we have to be photographers as well as card creators, sometimes it's the hardest part of the card, trying to get the photo 'just right'... and sometimes for me, it's just the best picture out of a bad lot lol. Both your cards are wonderful Bev, your peach is coloured to perfection!

These are both so swoonworthy, Bev! Such a delicious peachy delight, all fresh and yummy with just the perfect flourish behind it! What a beautiful crisp white and gold CAS confection ... love that vellum with the perfect gold leaf (yes, I see gold over here!). Two absolute beauties, my friend! Hugs & bisous, Anita :)

Firstly. You always know how to make me smile. I love your humor. Secondly - these are some beautiful examples of creativity! I especially love that gold (green) gold leaf design. I'm so jealous of your CASability.

I really like the peach card! The colors are great and the swirly vine is a perfect touch. And I totally understand about photographs not showing the correct color. But who has the time to learn how to be a great photographer when I want to spend all my spare time making cards??

Miss Bev...what a wonderful pair of fabulous cards. I am in love that peach card, just looks so real and with the green swirl vines, amazing!

These are two terrific cards, Bev, and both could have got to all the challenges. I love that peach, and gold or green, I love the design of your second card. Some of my favorites of yours.
