Happy Valentine's Day

Well, there was no 3+ karat diamond ring waiting for me today. No 500lb box of chocolates either. And if there aren't at least 4 dozen roses and a bottle of Dom, well, just forget it! lol We tend not to celebrate Valentine's Day as much as we used to, because every day is Valentine's Day for us...awww! We'll celebrate in a while with some college basketball, and maybe I'll make some popcorn. I made a treat for DH yesterday anyway: Strawberry Sour Cream Cake. He'll be set for a few days with that, not to mention extremely happy!

I have a card to share with you today in honor of Papertrey Ink's 8th Anniversary celebration. I have several sets of stamps, some dies, and even a couple of inks. Nice quality, and wonderful products.

Tons of celebratory challenges going on over there, and an incredible release too. You've got to head over if you haven't and check it all out!

I have a card all ready for the Heavy Metal challenge, where we are to keep it to metallics and neutrals for our projects.

Crummy lighting again! I have used Michaels white cardstock and gold papers. This is a PTI die and stamp with Delicata gold ink. It's really cool looking irl... CAS and that makes me happy! Time to let you all enjoy your weekend. Take care and happy dances everyone!

Your Valentine's Day sounds just like ours...but I am perfectly ok without the chocolates (don't like them anyway) and I have a big diamond so I don't need another one and I don't drink champagne...but a nice cold diet coke with fresh lime would be so perfect for today. Now on to your stunning card. I love your fabulous design and all the GOLD, just the perfect congrats card ever! Wishing you and John a very Happy Valentine's Day! Miss you lots!!!

I got a box of chocolates (the calories I don't need) But they are so good. (I try to only eat one piece at a time...difficult to do)
No going out...it's just too cold and windy where I live and more snow on the ground.

Your card is very nicely done...Could be used for so many different occasions.

I'm sure it looks great IRL... and it looks awesome here too! I really like the contrast of the graphic border and the script font. Strawberry Sour Cream Cake sounds really, REALLY yummy!

Thanks for a nice chat today pal!

Wow, this is a stunning CAS card Bev! I love the shinny gold paper and your sentiment. That is a cool die too. Hubby and I had a very nice Valentine's and hubby didn't have to foot the bill either. lol His chemo center gave us a nice Christmas gift of a luxury hotel getaway in Gettysburg with dinner for two, over night in the hotel and movie tickets. We enjoyed a nice little getaway even though it was only 10 miles from our home. lol Hugs, Brenda

Belated Happy Valentine's Day, dear friend! We 'celebrated' with a late Christmas/early birthday (for his sister) shared with Andy's family; gifts, an excellent meal, and a most marvelous time. As for 'our' Valentine's...perhaps we'll celebrate on March 14th or maybe April 14th, because my poor husband is beyond busy. Your cake for John sounds scrumptious; I can't remember the last time we had short cake (hmmm...time to dig through the recipes). Your card is heavy metal marvelous! Crisp, clean, classy!
