A Wink and a Nod

Sunday afternoon. Sunny day, NCAA tourney entertaining the DH, and an easy dinner to make tonight. I'm in my craft room and all's right with the world. I've been seeing posts by fellow crafters, who have been playing along at the Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge, over at the most wonderful and talented Taheerah Atchia's (aka 'Little Miss T) blog, Fill Your Paper With the Breathings of Your Heart. It's already challenge #10, and I can't believe I've missed this many of them. As it is, I'll be squeaking in right as the deadline looms. Check out the incredible inspiration photo:

What a charming room! So full of inspiration too. I've picked out the damask, tucked in the shelving unit, the bits of yellow and pink, plus the blues. Oh, and lest I forget, the chandelier.

The "wink" in my post title is for the Wink of Stella, which covers the chandelier (and naturally didn't photograph well...), and the "nod" was to the sequins I spilled and as I was cleaning them up, just liked the way they looked. I know, I know, it's a little girlyish. But I still liked it. The blue cardstock is from olden times, it's manufacturer long forgotten. Neenah white base and scrap. PS orange cardstock. The chandelier is a cut file I got from the Silhouette store, a scrap of orange ribbon, three random sequins, and one bling from Kaisercraft. The stamp is from Gina K., and orange Versacolor ink. Oh!, and the dp is from Theresa Collins. So that's it. Happy Dances everyone!!

I love that intricate chandelier Bev. We're enjoying lots of basketball here and I've snuck in some crafting this afternoon. My team (Dayton) made a great run sorry that they lost last night but am still smiling that they made it as far as they did!

So happy to hear all's right in your world, Bev ... certainly looks like it with the deliciously feminine card! Stunning colours you picked out from the inspiration ... and what an awesome chandelier, I can just imagine the shimmer and sheen, especially so paired with the sequins and that ribbon bling! Just lovely! Anita :)

You have captured the inspiration so perfectly from chandelier to the colors, just gorgeous. I so wish I could see it with the wink of Stella too. Sometimes getting the right photo is such a pain ;)

Hello, sweet friend - and HUGE hugs for making me feel ever so wonderful about my "mobile crafting unit" creations! I have a couple more to share, that I salvaged from the midst of some epic failures. My co-dependence on my cuttlebug is becoming ever more clear *grin* SO glad you played with this challenge (fab photos, aren't they!) and your selection of images/details and colours to focus on = one stunning card! Your chandelier is gorgeous, as are the pops of sequins and that sweet little "hi"! Happy to hear your world is in harmony! Hugs~c

Firstly, thank you so much for all your kind words about me and my challenge! You really made my day! Secondly, thank you for playing along, yay! I love your bold chandelier against all those mats and the patterned paper is so well chosen! Nothing wrong with a little girly card every now and then. ;-) Thanks so much for playing to find a Cure For The Monday Blues!

Good eye....I honestly didn't notice the damask paper until you mentioned it! Shows how observant I'm NOT!| Beautiful colors, love the wink and the bling and love the orange chandelier! Nice little spot to tuck the wee "hi"!
