CCC + PTI

Two cards, two challenges. No chatter. (Well....maybe a little)  The first card is headed off to the Card Concept Challenge. The 'theme' is monochromatic pink. Took a while for the ping to stop bouncing and settle in one place.

I really wanted to use green, but didn't.

A simple tag card. Probably fits best in the "Clean and Layering" category. There is a matching pink panel on the inside which shows up when the card is closed. All pink scraps. Neenah white base. Pink sequins. A bit of ric-rac and silver string on the tag. A smidge of leftover ribbon. That's about it for this one.

And PTI's Anniversary celebration continues. Today, the challenge was to randomly choose one 'ingredient' from nine different categories, which were found on the various DT blogs. Mine has: 1) Hawaiian Shores (well, nearly that color), cardstock, 2) Raspberry Fizz (also really close to that color...) cardstock, though it looks red in the photograph, 3) Aqua Mist - had that exact ink!, 4) White cardstock, 5) the first sketch (I'll show you that in a minute, 6) it's a birthday card, 7) an inlaid die cut, 8) rhinestones, and finally, 9) thread.

And this is my take:

The rich, deep pink on the sentiment panel looks soooo red here, but truly, it isn't. A scrap of dp for the punched out hearts. White Neenah base, white thread from my sewing box. Pretty simple. Gotta run. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day everyone. Hope you get some happy dancing in. (I really like how it looks in real life)

Hey there pal! Still trying to catch up on some of my blog visits!

Glad that you used pink (instead of green) cuz this is a PERFECT entry for CCC!!! That ping stopped bouncing at the perfect time! Love the 'tag' look and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the scalloped bottom layers and the bling!

Your "chatter" is always welcome. It's so uplifting.

The pink is so darling (and just quietly, I think your card would have been just as darling in monochromatic green!). Sweet and lovely and would be delightful as a new baby card too...

Your PTI card is so bright and happy. Love that "birthday". Actually I love all of it from the angle of the sentiment to the colours as well as the cute hearts dancing across the card. Beautiful!

Colour has such an impact on design - your first card is soft and pretty and your second bold card (hello, CASology...)has a much more riotous feel (my big word for the day!)And both are equally celebratory and appropriate for the right people! Thanks so much for joining us at the Card Concept!

Oh my...joining with Anita in sighing over these two beauties. The pink tag...soft, delicate...and the edgings are so eye-catching. Loveliness! Your second card is an eye-catching, 'bold' delight (enter in Casology!) with the sweet heart banner and big birthday. Another visit where I'm coming away dazzled, smiling and inspired! Bev, you crack me up...simple card, really? This is simply beautiful and such a sweet way to say happy birthday. I was so tempted to add green to my card too but opted not too. This is a beauty and a winner in my book. Now for you second card, so stinkin' fun, love the floating hearts! Have a wonderful weekend!

You've done these challenges justice. Love the gentle simplicity of the first but being a colour loving girl- really love the last one. You obviously thrive on challenges! x
