Wasn't "Ugly Card" fun?!!

Oh yeah. I laughed all day yesterday at the comments on my ugly card, and the comments left on all the other cards over at Suzanne's the card yard. I for one am hoping that Suzanne makes this an annual event. I'm pretty sure I have more ugly cards tucked here and there...

I have been a busy little crafter today, and am hoping to redo a birthday card for my sweet granddaughter, Lizzy, a bit later this afternoon. I've made two cards to post, the second is just to view. It's for my dear friend Val in Florida. Her birthday is Friday, so this was a priority for me to finish on time. The first card is going into the Muse #5 Challenge, and I thought I'd play at CAS on Sunday too.

Laurie Willison made the Muse inspiration card. Isn't it gorgeous?! Is is just me, or are you in awe of her work too?! Love her designs. For my card, I used the green, and the way  the focal point is popped up over the background stamping.

CAS on Sunday

The theme this week over at CAS on Sunday is Thank You. I found the most appropriate stamp for my design, and I think I hit it straight on. So without further ado, this is my card:

The gray was calling me again today. Just had to go with it. All the paper are scraps (again)!! The stamp is from SU, using Memento London Fog ink, the three little blings are from K & Company, and the white flourishes are an old Basic Gray rub on. Clean. Simple. Done. Happy dances everyone!

Whoops, almost forgot to show you the other card...

I like that it's cheerful. Happy is so important in this world, don't you think? So often when I read the newspaper or look at the news, there is such sad, evil, or horrid stories. God wants us to be happy in our lives. No matter what befalls us. That's why I'm happy dancin' everyday. You should too! Grins and giggles as you do your own happy dances!

These are lovely. I love your thank you card... I love the look of grey along with that flourishy rub ons and thank you. Very elegant!

That green really pops on the grey - I love that colour combination! This is a lovely take on the Muse. I also like the pops of red on your birthday card - really fun!

That green and grey are fabulous together, Bev ... the rounded corners on the sentiment panel mimic the flourishes on the thank you and the rub-on so beautifully ... and I LOVE the bling ... so delicate and drop-like!

Your second card is just what you said it is ... HAPPY! Fab dots and circles ... the twine wrapping on the banner is just inspired ... your friend will be so happy to open it!

Happy dancing with you my friend! Anita :)

Wow! The nojo was definitely a gojo today! Beautiful creations!I am smitten with the green/grey combo...and yes, that sentiment works perfectly with the swirls on the card. Good eye!

Love how you carried the 'dot theme' throughout your card...the bling, the embossing folder and the patterned paper. Of course, I adore the red twine on the banner!

I love how you always faithfully listen to your pings and the "calls" of what feels right! When you do, it always ends up right. I love your card for your friend, too!

(And thanks for the head's up on the CAS on Sunday challenge being "thank you!" With work, I haven't had time to check out all the challenges ... I think I'll pop back over to my post and edit it to include COS. xxoo)
