It's tapered off considerably now, and we've only gotten an inch or two. By this time tomorrow, it should all be melted, so it's no big deal to me. And since I'd done my grocery shopping yesterday I don't even have to go out in this if I don't want to! It's the Trick-or-Treaters I feel bad for. They'll be wearing winter coats and boots over their costumes if they decide to come out at all. Poor little things!
I have a card today made using the sketch at The Paper Players challenge. I gave it a Fallish-Masculine flavor. I'm also entering this into SSS Wednesday Challenge.
Here's my card:
All these different cardstocks are from my scrap file. I had the full chunk of the gray, just a bit of the orange; enough to cut the wide strip and sentiment, and exactly enough to make those green stripes. The square was cut with an MFT die, and the stripes with the EH Skinny Stripes die, and the sentiment is from Card Deco. I masked off part of a Poppystamps sentiment for the 'to you' portion to complete my card. That cream-colored square was another scrap with tiny flecks of color in it.
I am diligently working to get some commenting done, however, we are expecting more company for a long weekend and I'm not sure if I'll get to much in the next several days. You all have a great weekend, and I'll see you soon. As always...

Cool... you have snow. I know I'm crazy but I'm a big kid at the sight of the first flurries, I love love snow. Sadly the UK snow is a bit weak, but I guess most folks like that... I'm happiest playing in it. You card looks fab, it has a tropical feel, I think its the stripe. Great design and take care in the snow/slush x
Ooh that looks too cold for trick or treating, but I am sure that some would have been lured by the chocolate lol. Great way to use 'scraps' on your card Bev, and in colours I rarely use together but they look great!
Lucky for you, and me, that none of those gifts you sent stuck to the ground over here on the east side of the Big Lake! Tom was a trooper, and handed out the candy in the cold.
I believe that your card has warmed things up a bit, too - pretty colored snippets are the best, for a very pretty card, my friend!

A very graphic and colorful card, Bev. Stay warm.
Nicely done, using up those scraps. Wow, winter...I'm not ready for that at all. Stay warm.
This is definitely a great, masculine birthday card, Bev! What an awesome way to use up scraps. I was in SE Wisconson last Friday and Saturday (Lomira and Fond du Lac). I'm glad the snow held off until this week. We ended up with 3 inches here in SE Iowa. It's too soon!!! Thank you for playing in my sketch challenge at The Paper Players!
Great idea..so creative! Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players this week!
This is so fun!! I love the skinny strips and how you created the sentiment!! STUNNING card.
I am so with you on not being ready to see that white stuff covering everything :-) I love your take on the sketch; I love the colors, the skinny stripes and the fact the card could be for either gender. Such a wonderful versatile card. So glad you joined us at the Players this week

Kudos to you for using a bunch of scraps! Great masculine card! So glad you are doing well in the snow and staying warm!
Wow, I cannot believe you have snow. It seems like you jump from summer to winter pretty quickly. :) I love your card. I'm not great with masculine cards but you always rock them!
We occasionally get snow dumped on us in Oct, but this year we did not. Instead we had high winds and lots of rain. lol But the rain held off for the trick or treater's which was a good thing. Love your card Bev! At first I thought it was a sketch and I thought what a cool sketch, then I realized it was your card. lol I love it, love the color combo. It's a very artsy card and probably why it is so cool looking. Well done! Hugs, Brenda
oh snow....not here...rain and more! I love to walk in new snow! I adore the graphic look of your card and the colours so retro-rock on! xx
Hope all went well with another weekend of company, Bevie! I can't believe that snow and I hope it's not a harbinger of a bitter winter. Your happy card is a nice warm contrast to the cold and snow!! Miss you! Hugs, Darnell
We still have some of that white stuff hanging around! Such a great card for a fall birthday (or anytime really). I hope the wedding went well. I know you must still be exhausted! We're moving my mom in to live with us, so sorry I haven't been around. We'll have to schedule and play date when things settle a bit. Miss you!
