Did you know....

Did you know, as far as I can tell, that there's only one word in the English/American language that rhymes with "orange?" It's an obscure word for something related to botany, "sporange." Can't write a good poem with that, can you? I will say that waaaaay back in the 1960s, on that (still funny) show, Laugh In, Judy Carne came up with "door 'inge." Door hinge. As a kid, I thought that was extremely funny. And all this leads into a couple of new-to-me challenges where I'm playing today. You'll see the connection to all my 'orange' trivia/nonsense/stuff you really didn't need to know in a minute.

ORANGE OPULENCE

The first challenge is called The Rainbow Card Challenge, and the second one is the Crazy For CAS Challenge. Love the bright color, especially when we're snow covered again, and that sketch is right up my alley. Here's my card:

I found a scrap of polka dotted paper in orange, and a scrap of orange cardstock for both the label and the 'sweet.' I cut the circle with an MFT die, and used the sentiment from C9. Three enamel dots, and that's all. So QAEZPZ to make! Fun thank you card! Hope all is going well with you and as always...

Tee hee ... well I learned something about orange today, Bev ... didn't know there was even a single word that rhymed with it ... now I do! What a bright, happy, fun card ... well orange and polka dots combined with that punny banner and scripty sentiment couldn't be anything else! Stay warm and cosy, mon amie! Miss you loads, big hugs and bisous, Anita :)

Yes, orange and purple, two words with no rhymes until you exposed the obscure sporange. Oh and silver has no rhyme either. Enough about that. Your card is delightful, Bev. EZPZ does it every time.

Hi Bev. LOVE your card!!! Knock, knock! :) Used do to those jokes as a kid with the orange as part of it. And your look back reminds me of the fun times watching Laugh In. :) Of course, I was practically a baby back then. :)

Anyways, your orange card is so fun and bright! It is a sweet way to say thank you! xx

Those botanist, always coming up with terms to impress the laymen. "Ah yes, spores come in many colors, sporange, spurple, sporouge..."

I love this fresh, citrus sweet card, Bev! So cheerful, it makes me wish I was eating an orange right now - in Florida! Let's Go!

Now that you have me thinking about it, I can't think of a single word to rhyme with orange, but then again my vocabulary isn't that big! lol I so remember Laugh In with Goldie Hawn! They were very funny on that show. I do so love the color orange, when I was a kid I so wanted a yellow and orange bedroom-walls yellow and trim orange. Never got it, but so wanted it! lol Happy colors! I love the sketch and I love your card Bev! So fun, so sassy and so cheery! Hugs, Brenda
