Are You Back To Normal Yet?

I'm trying to get back in my groove, and since the last vestiges of our Christmas guests are in the dryer, I guess I'm getting there. Later this week, I'm going to start gathering up everything I need to start work on the taxes. Oh joy! DH has me hopping and in between hops, I've had the chance to make a card or two. I'll show you a couple today.

I found a couple of challenges and made a couple of cards. The first card will go play along at The Card Challenge, where I've gone pretty Clean and Layered. The second card heads off to CAS Colours & Sketches.

Here's the first one:

I found a scrap of tiny polka dotted paper in my file drawer to match what's on the table. And then I used a Studio Calico set to make that inner panel. The frame is a NBUS die from Altenew, which I fell in love with, and had to have! The 'beautiful' is from another Altenew set stamped and die cut. Thought about something in the upper right-hand corner of the frame, but nothing looked better than plain, so plain it is!

And my second:

Thought I'd get ahead a bit on making more masculine cards, rather than scramble at the last minute. I started with another NBUS (yes, I've been bad...just wait though...more orders are either on their way, or patiently waiting me to push that sweet "place order" button!) from N&T. I colored the triangles with a blue Copic. The frame in kraft was cut with an MFT die. And the Uniko sentiment was embossed in white and cut with a PTI flag die. EZPZ. Super fast card. Love it when that happens. Well, I've got a few other things to get done today, and a bit of commenting to do, so will stop for now. You all have a lovely afternoon and evening. See you soon. And as always...

Fabulous cards, Bev! Always nice when you can use those scraps and I should make some masculine cards...I'm the one scrambling to make one at the last minute. LOL
I'm pretty much back to the norm (knock on wood) though yes, need to start on taxes soon. ;) Oh, and you mean you don't always push that button either?! LOL ...can't tell you have many carts I have full of stuff. ;)
Have a great week, my friend! Hugs

Both of these cards have such great designs Bev, perfect to have one masculine and the other more feminine. Have not gotten back to normal yet, but were getting t here--lol!

Beautiful cards Bev. So happy you have had some time to create. Love the colours you've used from the inspiration photo challenge. Black, white and bright pink are beautiful together. And you gotta love polka dots, right??!! :) They make me happy! Awesome masculine card with the colour challenge. Love the triangle panel on the kraft and then that hit of dark red for the sentiment banner. Fantastic!

Just getting back to "normal", whatever that is. Put away the last of the Christmas serving trays, etc. today. Still have a garland with light on my mantel and then my cards hanging in front. Want to leave those up for a while so I can admire them. :) xx

I already pulled out tax stuff too. Isn't it horrible to go from the merry, joyful season to tax season?! LOVE how you used those backgrounds - just a simple sentiment so I can see all of it!

Wonderful CAS cards, Bev. The masculine one is perfect and something I need to work on too. I have a number of men with birthdays coming up and when I looked at my stash they were scarce.

Two wonderful CAS cards Bev and YAY for a masculine one too! Love the black and white with the bright pink frame and who doesn't love some polka dots?!! Your masculine card with all the triangle is FABULOUS...love that you colored in ALL those light blue ones!! My birthday stash has been seriously depleted from all the vultures (I mean ladies) at bible study, and I really need to work on getting more made...and especially some masculine ones too!! House is totally de-decorated from Christmas and I have even done some cleaning and purging, so the house is feeling pretty clean! Just not my craft room...having a hard time letting go of some things! Have aa great week my friend!! Hugs! :0)

Nope, I'm not quite back to normal yet. Yes, the Christmas stuff is put away, but I just can't seem to get myself back in gear for anything else. lol Both of your cards are just beautiful Bev! I love the pink frame on your first one and of course that fabulous polka dot background paper. The inner panel you made just makes me smile and I just adore that "beautiful" die cut sentiment! Your second card has such a masculine feel to it with the colors and that amazing blue triangle paper! Love the sentiment on the banner like, a card that is stunning but has no "frufru" on it as the guys would say. lol Hugs, Brenda

I'm trying to get back to normal, although I'm way late at visiting, sorry! You've gone very geometric with your awesome cards here and I love them, Bevie! Of course, anything with polkie dots is gonna make me smile and I love your triangulated manly card, too! Can't wait to see what else you have up there on that ever-growing Mt. NBUS of yours!! Love and hugs, Darnell

Cute cards...and no I'm still not back to normal...(was I ever normal? smile!) My Christmas tree is still up and I can't believe it...I think it's the longest I've had it up...(thank goodness it's not a real one...)

Bold and glamorous, Bev! It's as beautiful as it says! Fantastic masculine card - I love the graphic style! My girls were looking for a snow day today, but no such luck. Maybe I'll declare my own snow day and get into the craft room.
