More Pink

I promise that after this post, I will use different colors. But I got in a 'pink' rut. Not a bad rut, as I like the color pink rather much, but a rut nonetheless. I hope you won't mind these two cards today. This first card will head off to a brand new challenge from Pinkfresh Studios. I'd won a GC blog hopping with them, and added some PFS stamps/dies to my stamp collection. And yes, I like them. Good stamping quality, and fun images! Go check them out. My second pink card will go and play at Time Out, and at the Poppy Stamps Challenge.

March Monthly Challenge

Card Number One:

I just used one Pinkfresh Studio stamp on this card. I loved the airiness of this foliage, so masked off a panel and stamped above and below it. I added two hot pink strips to give it a more finished look, and then used a SC 'celebrate' die. A few pink blings and done. Sorry about the bad photo. I really wanted to capture the colors, and had to put up with the shadows in order to do so.

Card Number Two:

A very CAS birthday card. The branch is from Poppy Stamps, and the sentiment is from MB. I colored the branch with Copics, and added a few sequins. While it's hard to see, the focal point has been cut with an MFT die. Pretty EZPZ! And now I've got to run. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend, and as always...

Pink

I love the color pink. Not that I'm a 'girly-girl,' no, I've always been more of a tomboy, but pink has always made me happy. I've got a granddaughter who will graduate from LAW school (damn...how did she get so grown up so fast?!!), and when she was a tiny bit of a thing, if you asked her her favorite color, she'd say, "peenk." That's how our family says 'pink' now. Peenk. I don't think she's quite as taken with the color as she was when she was little, but her love of all things pink back then always sparks sweet memories of Jess. You can tell I'm about to show you a pink card today, can't you, lol?! I've actually made three cards in a row with peenk, but won't drown you in the color today. I'll save a couple for later, with hopes that I have time to post them. Been a bit busy around here with DH's PT appointments and such. If you see a headless chicken running around, don't worry, that's just me trying to keep up with all of my tasks....

I'd actually made this card last week, but my duties have kept me from posting it. I've used one of my favorite flower stamps; it's whimsical and fun, and dressed in pink, it does make me happy. It's headed off to Loll's CAS Watercolour Challenge, as well as SSS Wednesday Challenge.

That's a Studio Calico stamp garden, albeit, a small garden, and a MB sentiment. I cut my watercolor panel with an MFT Wonky die, and used my Zigs to color everything. I added a panel of pink edged with green ink and that was it. I hope your days are going well, and I'm hoping to pop 'round to all your blogs at some point today. Blessings to you, and as always...

Twofer Challenge #3

We've got another great challenge for you this month at the Twofer Challenge. It's rather fun and very appropriate for those of us anticipating Spring. This month's prompt is:

Oh so many things come to mind with this! Click the link to pop over there, and check out the amazing cards by the rest of the Design Team!

I'm soooo looking forward to the early Springtime blossoms in my flowerbeds. Until they start peeking through the ground, these will have to do!

This card uses a green base with an MFT die cut frame, first stamped with a Brutus Monroe coverplate flower stamp, then colored with Copics. I added some fun sequins, and a Spring-like sentiment from MFT. To me, this is a very "happy" card!

Using the same BM stamp, only this time with ME Smoke Ink, I covered the whole front of the card. Then I grabbed that fun MFT die, and knocked out a panel, which I colored in soft blues and greens and popped back into place. The sentiment is from Gina K., and I placed it on a popped up scrap of SU Parisian Breeze cardstock.

I wonder where "blossoms" will take you all this month?! Looking forward to seeing what you've made! See you over at the Twofer Challenge. As always...

What's Wrong With Me?

It's Monday. It's not even noon. I've got all my chores done, and I got a card made already. What's wrong with me?!! Feels pretty good, as I have to take DH to a doctor's appointment this afternoon. After the doctor's appointment, and as a reward to myself for being such a good girl, I'm stopping at Michaels for a few things that I "need." I'm giving you all permission to do the same if you've been good today too, lol!!

During the basketball and baseball games yesterday, while DH was entranced, I made a quick little card, which I'll share first. That one is going to play at Inspired By, and SSS Create and Share.

I didn't have any dies or embossing folders that would mimic the hills in this photo, but I managed to come up with a little something.

For my hill, I used a ME die and ancient scrap of slightly patterned paper. I found a scrap of blue that gave me a nice sky. The Cross and sentiment are from Pretty Pink Posh (love this font!), and the 'sun' is from Avery Elle. EZPZ lemon squeezy!

Today's card will head off to Time Out. Their prompt is "Bold," and I'd made a couple late last week. They just didn't trip my trigger. This one does:

Those are some wild polka dots, aren't they?! With that much going on in the background, it didn't need much else. I found a white circle (WPlus9 die) in my stash on my desk, and the 'happy' is a die from MFT. It's as hot a pink as on the polka dots, but it doesn't show up well. Some day, I'm investing in a super-duper Nikon. But I'd have to give up buying stamps/dies for a couple of months...don't know if I can do that...hahahaha!! Now I'm off to get a little commenting done. As always...
