Taking A Minute

I made a tag and a card yesterday morning, but have been running ever since. This is the first chance I've had to sit down and work on a post. It's 'that' time of year for me, and I'm sure it's the same with you. Thanksgiving fast approaches and I've got 20+ people coming this year. Should be loud and fun. With any luck, I'll be so organized that not only will the day go smoothly, but I'll have time to craft every single day between now and then (bwahahahahahahahahaha...yeah, that'll happen!).

I'll show you my tag first, which will be heading off to Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas, and also to Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge.

My tag is a CASE of Loll's tag - she's such an inspiration!!

Mine looks like this:

The tag itself is an RC die. The trees are die cut from a shiny paper that we added color to way back at the Lake House last year. Darnell knows the technique, but I'm afraid I've forgotten. I sponged the evening sky, and added white with a gel pen and some green splatters. The 'hill' was cut with a LF die, and the sentiment is from W&W.

My card will head off to Time Out, where two sweeties, Michele and Bobby, are our inspiration. I'll show you their cards in a sec. I'm also playing along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.

For the Tic, Tac, Toe portion, I used the middle row across: Die Cut, Free, Leaf.

The leaf die is a new one from The Stamp Market. The sentiment is from Studio Calico. The paper is from my stash and is older than dirt, but I love it. And that's it for me tonight. Hope your week ahead is wonderful. As always...

What a wonderful case of Loll's tag. I just love the color on those trees with that fabulous gradient! The cards are just beautiful too with your inlaid die cut sentiment. I did get a chuckle on your post too! Large families are a bit of work but so fun!

So glad you were able to grab a minute to get creative and crafty, Bevie! I know how hard that is with all you have going on. I really adore your tag for Loll's challenge and think it's a fabulous CASE of her work of art! Well done saving that Brusho piece for a whole year and having it come out to play so perfectly for this challenge!! And your pretty card CASEing Michele and Bobby is terrific, too! You had your mojo juices flowing, my friend!! Miss you! Hugs, Darnell xxoo

Wonderful tag Bev. Your beautiful tree really shine against your night sky. Looks like it might be alcohol ink on glossy paper for the trees? Sweet sentiment stamp. Thanks for joining my tag event.

Love your hidden word card. Great work with that technique. Your green patterned paper is awesome! xx

...sorry if you fainted when you saw my comment pop up...cuz I'm sure you are convinced that I'd fallen off the face of this earth!

Like you, I've managed to find some free time today and blog visiting was the first thing on my list of things to do today!

Two TERRIFIC tags! The trees on the 'tis the season' tag look soooooo good against your delightful snowy sky! Love the swirly sentiment - festive and fun! The second tag is so dang cool! I love the 'older than dirt' paper...kind of feel a special connection with the older than dirt thing! Great split sentiment :)

Happy cooking & preparing!

All your behind-the-scenes Thanksgiving preparations sound exhausting, but in a fun kind of way! I know everything will be awesome; nothing better than spending time with family gathered around a fantastic meal. Your trees are lovely; I can smell their pine-needles fragrance from here! We should bundle up and go for a stroll in your inviting little wonderland. And your celebrate card: unbe*leaf*ably gorgeous! How sweet that singular leaf; that paper is sooooo pretty!
Hugs and love~c

Card and tag making amid all that preparation, Bev ... always knew you were Superwoman! What a sweet, crisp, wintery tag ... I well recall our LH experiment with all that gorgeous colour ... love that you still had a snippet left to use for those deliciously variegated trees! Yummy take on Michele's inspiration ... that's such a gorgeous single leaf, perfect in the old-as-dirt paper ... and fabulous tied in with the bottom panel! Delighted to have you playing along with us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday and at Time Out, my friend! Big hugs & bisous, Anita :)
