I did take some time this morning in between other chores and made a card or two. They're both pretty QACAS (quick and clean and simple), which pleases me. Had been struggling with an idea for Time Out Challenge #22. Liked the inspiration photo, liked what the DT came up with, and liked what the other crafters have made, only my brain was trying too hard. I went all froo-froo on oh, about, um four cards, and hated each of them. Decided to channel my inner Ardyth and go minimalist for this one. Results? Ahhhh, now that's better! I also have a card for CAS(E) This Sketch #105. No struggles for this one. Had a ping and flew with it. Love all the white space. Love the cherries. Now, let's play show and tell!
Card number one for Time Out:
CAS. This, I can live with. I used a PTI Wet Paint 'hello' stamp with Memento ink on my Michaels base. One woodgrain SC sequin and three strips of scrap paper (left over from the other attempts...). The brown one is also woodgrained, but it's difficult to see. Done.
Card number 2 is for the CTS challenge:
The teeny-tiny cherries on the (Michaels) base are Sticko stickers. I've had them forever, but have been hoarding them. I reminded myself to knock that off, and used them! (I still have a few more on the sheet!) MFT Pierced Rectangles die, and MB cherries. The vellum is TH, and the stamp is TT with Versafine red ink. The paper for the larger cherries were scraps. And that's it for me for today. Hope you are all doing well today, and as always, happy dances everyone.

Sometimes getting that overthinking cap off my head can be a terrible ordeal. I'm glad you managed to do it because your cards turned out fabulously. I especially love those sparkly little cherries!
Oh, these are both great! I find that first inspiration photo challenging, but I love your take on it! So sweet & CAS! And I also love what you did with the CTS sketch! Great job!
So glad you took some time to play and make two fabulous cards! It's so easy to get caught up in all the things that need to get done until there is no time to get crafty - I know because I fight the same battle...
Love your minimalist take on the TO challenge! That wooden button is genius! Hope things settle down for you soon!
Such a sweet cherry card, Bev ... these look good enough to eat! Oh my, your graphic, minimalist hello is soooo cool ... bold colours against crisp white ... blissful ... and that wee wooden sequin ... perfect! So delighted you played along with us at Time Out, my lovely friend! Anita :)
Remember ... take some time to breathe!!!
I am so glad you hung in there and played along with us at Time Out. Love those primary colors...and the cherries...love, love, love them. They were worth hoarding!
Both your creations are so pretty! The TO one is a great CAS card, and the cherries card is very sweet! Thanks for taking the Time Out to play with us!
Fantastic inspiration Bev and just love your CAS take on the Timeout challenge.

This is fabulous!! That inspiration photo was difficult. i like your interpretation!!
You wear the minimalist style with complete flair, my friend, as your nailed-this-perfectly hello card clearly shows! Fabulous! Your cherries card: cheery, yummy and all-around delicious! Adore both of these, as I do YOU!
Hugs~c
So concise and delightful, Bev! I love your CAS design on the first and the vellum details on the 2nd! Well done!!
These are beautifully CAS. So colorful and wonderfully designed.
2015 has started off with a bang for me too Bev! I keep thinking tomorrow I can get some things done, and then I am back on that treadmill again! Love both of your cards. The Time Out is fantastic and great job with the sketch!
Well I am so pleased you joined us at TIME OUT and with such a CAS lovely-just how I love a card! And what sweet cherries-yummy x
I SO hear you! Sometimes we need to tell our brains to be quiet and let us just play! When we do we end up with two lovely cards just like you've shown here! The simplicity of the first is wonderful. I love the use of the white space. I have to say I love the sticko stickers. I've a tonne of stickers too. Every time I walk past the wall of stickers (only a slight exaggeration. haha), I think I should drag them out. Maybe we should have a sticker Saturday card challenge. :)
Thanks for the inspiration, Miss Bev! :)
Now how cute is that woodgrain sequin? Love that and the cherries...super sweet!
POW! and she's off..... well done, Bev! Well, you know I'm going to love those cherries... "the overthinking cap" Becca mentioned is weighing on me, too.

Yes Bev... time FLIES! Look where January is taking us already!
2 beauties you are sharing today!
I love the sweet friend one for our sketch this week!
Great way to use those tiny stickers (I have lots in my stash... taking note!)
Thanks for joining us at CAS(E) this sketch!
Budda-Boom, Budda-Bing...just like that...two sa-weet cards! Yep, love all the white space on the first card (the woodgrain shows up really well). Nothing sweeter than cherries on a card, perfectly paired with the softness of velum and a cute wee sentiment!
Sure hope you're boo-boo head is feeling better today pal!
Ah, yes, channeling our inner Ardyth is always a good way to go to break the card-makers-block! Well done, Bevie! And, swoon, adore your cherry card! I would love a white dress like that with a chiffon panel just over the bazooms. Of course, the speaker is my 28-year-old self, not my grandma self who would look like a very large bowl of vanilla ice cream with a cherry on her butt! Sorry. I'm sorry you now have that visual burned into your retinas. Sorry. :( Love you, Darnell
I hear you on the crazy busy stuff. I hope to get in my craft room today.
Love how you channeled your inner Ardyth! Your cards turned out gorgeous! Love the simple first card and the cherries are darling.
I hear you Bev, my new year came in with a crash. I just crashed and burned. lol I hope to get back to more of a normal as well soon. Your cards are amazing! I love the simplicity of the first one, a great QACAS card! The cherry card, omgosh, I love the cherry card! I can't believe those little cherry's are stickers, love them and love your big cherries too. Another fabulous card! I hope life slows down a little for you Bev. Hugs, Brenda
Absolutely gorgeous, Bev! Thanks for joining us at CAS(E) This Sketch!
So good you can pare back with your cards- that first inspiration photo is lovely and I love your CAS take on it. Too busy in life (& on cards!) is not always the best! Hope you get chance for a little 'down time' soon x
Oh my...not sure how I missed these beauties. So so pretty and now I can not get that image out of my brain of Darnell wearing your cherry card, maybe I will have to make one for her just for fun..what do you think? Anyway I love them both and pray that your head will give a well deserved break from your headaches. Enjoy your weekend. Miss you lots.
