Pretty in Pink

Luscious. Delicious. Rich! That's what Therese Calvird's card is; all those things and more. But don't take my word for it, have a look for yourself!

I was right, wasn't I?? She's got this beauty up at Muse. And you know how much I love to play there... She's used that gorgeous Painted Flowers set from Altnew, which I am currently kicking myself for not ordering...But somehow I did manage to create something that, at least in my world, pleases the eye. Mine's a bit more informal, with more whimsical blooms. Here's mine:

Yippee-ki-yi-yay!!! More scraps used up in making this one! Even though I use scraps almost everyday, I can't seem to make the box any more empty. Maybe I need to leave the lights on in the craft room after dark....Neenah white base, and TAWS Awesome Blossom blossoms with SU black ink. The sentiment is from TT, the die and the stripes are from the NBUS Note Niblets set by PTI. A bit of black thread, and done. the black and pink panel is popped up on the white. This one is just happy. It's beautiful outside today, and after my errands, I plan on doing a little weeding, and then take a nice long walk. Happy dances everyone!

Ooh, oooh, I'm the first here to tell you what an awesome card this is, Bev! Love how you've planted those sweet blooms in their wee circle die cuts, and nestled the super striped sentiment between them! Such a stunning take on Therese's Muse! Hugs, Anita :)

I sat outside at lunch today...it is gorgeous. I am in love with the weather this summer. Very unusual to sit outside in August and be happy instead of sweaty. I love your whimsical take...especially how you stamped the sentiment. I have this on my list to play along :)

Yippee-ki-yi-yay AWESOME, dear friend! Your take on Therese's card is nothing short of "Bev-infused' fusion! Pink, pops of black, nifty-neat-o thread and sweet sentiment! All this adds up to one mathematical certainty: visual harmony at its finest! We had a warm day today and same forecast for tomorrow, although a possibility of showers. If the skies stay clear, I'm asking my husband for a return hike to Johnston's Canyon....

Yes Therese's card is gorgeous and so is yours Bev! Love bright pink and black together, what a lovely design. We have had the strangest weather today, I had to use my truly language converter so i can speak American to you, but today we went from sunny and 78 at lunchtime to dark, windy and 57 by 4:00. Gentle rain tonight but it is cool. Hope that the rest of your day stayed as lovely!

Miss Bev, such a sweet sweet card and I love your post title too, one of my favorite John Hughes movies. And I love that you are using your scraps too, you are so so good.

Love your modern take on Therese's card. Those little circles with pops and black and that sentiment strip looks great against the hot pink :)
