Brain Ping

You know how sometimes, when you see a sketch your brain just goes, "PING?!!" Well that's exactly what my brain did the second I saw the sketch at C(ASE) This Sketch. It went right to the card you'll see in a moment. And it took so little time to make. Love that combination; a ping and a fast make, too.

Okay... Maybe it's a little goofy, but had to go with the brain's ping.

Yep. A bowtie. There was no way around it. Can't fight my brain... But it does make me grin. Thought of using red, or blue, but couldn't go anywhere near anything clown. Just couldn't.  I used a scrap of some gray and white polkie dotted patterned paper and cut it with a ME die. The sunburst stamp is from an old AE set, and the sentiment (sooo tiny!) is from SSS. The sequins are courtesy of Ardyth! I did pop up the bowtie. Need your opinion - manly or not? I'm leaning toward not... Anyway, I've got to run; DH is calling...

  2. I'm glad you got a ping, Bev, because I just stared and said 'Huh?'. This is such a cute idea and it's masculine to me. My grandson would definitely wear a bow tie like that.

  8. Your brain PING is absolutely not goofy but brilliant! Sometimes those are the best cards, when your reader can clearly see what that PING was. Well done!

  13. Aw, I remember you used to use "pings" to describe your ideas a long while back and it's such a perfect word for it, Bevie! And you're right, you can't not make a card when it happens! It's a darling bowtie with it's itty-bitty sediment and it's a perfect make for the sketch! I think any gender would love it. Hope things are copaseptic! Miss you!! Sending hugs, Darnell

  16. Don't you love it when it "pings"? I'm glad you listened to your brain - this is a great take on the sketch! Even better that it came together quickly! Not sure if it is a masculine card - the colors yes, but some guys couldn't take the polka dots, I guess. So it depends on the guy...

  18. If you had gone clown themed, you could have used an action wobbler. Too fun! As it is, your card is so great and I love that sunburst stamp!!
