Welcome to the New Happy Dance!!!

I'm so glad you could make it! There are refreshments on the dining room table, and I've brought out the good china in honor of your visit! Welcome to the new Happy Dance! I hope you're "ooohing and aaahing" over all this gorgeousness that's happening here; I know I am! The incredibly sweet and amazingly talented Loll Thompson created this beautiful, new look, and I am thrilled beyond all measure of space and time! Thank you so much, Loll! I couldn't be more delighted!!

Loll created some beautiful headers and combined them with fun fonts. I fell madly in love with a pretty pink flower one, the first of many she made. I kept going back to it, and it made me happy. Then she popped this one in the mix, and my first thought was, "orange??, no way." After she set it as an example at the top of a test page, my tune changed.... It just felt right, you know what I mean?! Both the poppies and the font just dance across the top of my blog, don't they??!! The more I looked at it, the more I loved it. This feels like me.

So, welcome! Have some more coffee and blueberry coffee cake, and stay a while!

I do have a card for today. The first one in my new 'home!' It's for Darnell's NBUS#10, where the theme is 'bubble wrap.' Or bubbles, or wrap, or just use your NBUS. Go check it out. Play along. It'll be fun, I promise!! And because I liked and used the theme over at City Crafters, I'm going to play along there as well.

Since I didn't have any bubble wrap handy (it's wrapped around all those fragile Christmas ornaments and decorations), I used an embossing folder to mimic the look.

I think the "bubbly" part turned out pretty well. Scraps of black and white cardstock, and a Cuttlebug ef. All the stamps are from PTI, and while the spray and die aren't NBUS, the sentiment is. A little Copic coloring on the leaves, and some Stickles on the berries finish this. EZPZ. I may make more of these in different colors; they'd make good additions to the assortment I give the kids/grandkids for Christmas.

Delighted you stopped by! And I hope you'll do so again soon. Have a wonderful day, and...

The card is amazing. LOVE the bubble-look dry embossed background. And the die-cut of leaves is gorgeous. You're right, you could make this in different colours and they would all be beautiful. Fabulous design! xx

Love your card too! I thought of bubble wrap when I made the card with the lady bug on it too... but I think I have used the embossing folder once before, so it's not so NBUS!

  25. I'm late to the party, Bev ... though celebrating this stunning new look with you just the same! It's sooooooooooo YOU! Those watercolour poppies do appear to be delicately drifting in a gentle breeze ... yet they're a flower that will withstand so much ... and still keep their heads up ... see, you! The scripty font is perfect with them ... flowing, whimsical and downright fun! Now, if the good china is out, then it means it's time for tea ... put the kettle on, I'll just pop over! What a gorgeous card ... every little detail is perfect with every other little detail ... the bubble wrap embossing, the crisp frame, and those wonderfully embellished little blooms ... I love it! Delighted to have stopped by for all this loveliness, mon amie ... oh to be there IRL! Big hugs and bisous, Anita :)

  28. Bev I really LOVE your new look, the graphics and fonts are so you! Clen, simple and fresh. Love that card for Darnell's NBUS too!

  29. First, let me apologize, Bevie. I knew it would take me a while to get to you in the NBUS gallery, but I thought I had stopped in last week when I first saw your brilliant new look. In my head I made an initial comment to let you know how much I LOVE the design that you and Loll came up with! Those flowers are definitely dancing, as is the font in your header and signature. Perfect!

Second, I think your card is beautifully designed! It's EZPZ, but it packs a huge wallop with that great e/f and the popped up aqua leaves and beads! So pretty!

Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #10!! Love and hugs, Darnell
