I did a bit of fussy cutting today. Just a few easy, little bits as you'll see shortly. Made a card for the Runway Inspired Challenge. Just had to. Saw the inspiration photo and fell in love with everything about it. See for yourself:
Oh yeah. And be sure to check out the whole design team's creations; there is some serious awesomeness going on there! This one's mine:
Super quick and easy peasy lemon squeezy! White Bazzill card base, random scraps of gray, gold, and black. AE chevron stamps, which I fussy cut (*sa-wink*), and WPlus9 sentiment. A few scattered MME enamel dots, and then my most recent favorite oddball unusual item...drywall tape. Love that grid! And that's all for right now. Happy dances to everyone.
This is one of those 'swoon' moments, Bev ... such a perfect take on the inspiration photo ... love the chevrons, love the dots, and I know you know I simply adore that dry wall tape!! Your use of it is so much more stylish than mine ... just got to try it on something other than walls! Anyway, I'm still swooning! Anita :)

What a great match the drywall tape is to the inspiration photo! I can see why you love it so, wonderful texture!!
ReplyDeleteI love fussy cutting too. :) I remember a friend saying *years* ago that she loved fussy cutting and, at the time, I thought she was mad. lol Now I am the mad one. :) Your card looks fantastic. Love the use of the drywall tape - so very clever - and the chevrons just really pop. I love how you've placed the enamel dots too. Great card!
ReplyDeleteYou nailed this one my friend!
ReplyDeleteway too cute and so fun. Love your take on that outfit, just stunning.
ReplyDeleteLove the drywall tape - hate fussy cutting. For someone who has sewn all her life, I'm the worst cutter outer. I did recently reconnect with an old friend and she admitted to me that she loves it, so there's at least one other one out there.
ReplyDeleteWondered what that was...drywall tape! You rock.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your attentions to details, Bev! The use of colors and patterns are SUPERB! Love your ingenious way to use the drywall tape!!! So glad that you join the fun with us at Runway Inspired Challenge!
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this? Love this take on the RIC inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThis is so COOL Bev! I don't mind fussy cutting either. Those arrows are wonderful, love the movement of the shapes and enamel dots!
