My nod to Fall on this card brown color, the bit of burlap (thx Amy), and one bitty leaf on the cup.
The blue base is a scrap from a million years ago that I've been hoarding, um, saving. A bit of burlap and the stamps are all from EH, with the exception of the little leaf; Verve. I watercolored the cup with my zigs. Much prettier irl. We've got that Midwestern rain thing going on, though not like what's happening in MN & IA.
Here's my take on the inspirational photo, though slightly different.
I didn't have a brick stencil, or any brick dp, so I kept the grid pattern with what I've used. The box is from N&T, and I love it! Studio Calico bear stamp, and I fussy cut him. The little 'happy birthday' banner he's holding was a gift from Geri G. many, many long times ago. Thx Geri! And I've got to run my friends, DH duty calls! : ) Happy dances everyone.
very nice card!

ReplyDeleteAdorable ad sweet card!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of your hoarded scrap of paper - it's great with the texture of the burlap!! (I want to get the entire Verve set just for that little leaf!)
ReplyDeleteThe bear is so cute popping out of the box holding his little banner. I had never noticed the box so it's now on my wishlist!
Real burlap on a coffee themed card - the perfect pairing! I love the little leaf image on the cup. The 'texture' on the dp paper compliments the burlap so well!
ReplyDeleteOoops! Hit the send button before I commented on the cute little bear! I love the background dp - perfect take on interpretation photo.
ReplyDeleteLovin' the banner...that I totally forgot about! Awesome job fussy cutting - so perfect that it looks like it is a diecut!
Sending hugs and prayers that DH is feeling better. Your pretty blue cup, nestled atop the burlap, is soooo pretty! Brown and blue rapidly becoming a favourite colour combination, as is grey and blue (that just might find its way into some 'decor' *grin*). The star of the show, however, is your bear-in-a-box! So stinkin' adorable! Love those uplifted arms...er, paws...whatever! He's a cutie-patootie! So glad to see him over at Ink!
ReplyDeleteHugs, love and misses~c
