See if you can guess...

Today I'm showcasing another of those cardmakers out there, whose work I thoroughly enjoy. In fact, everything about this woman is rather amazing. Let's see if you can guess who it is without skipping to the bottom of the paragraph. She's funny; she makes us all laugh. She's the master of all kinds of cards; from CAS to Layered and Lovely. She's kind, sweet, and an incredible woman. She's inventive and a true wordsmith. She's got a bazillion followers and knows them all. I was blessed enough to spend a whole week, yes, A WHOLE WEEK with her!! I know you know who it is....Give yourself a pat on the back for just knowing it's Darnell. Miss D. of djkardkreations. Her card will be number 3 on by Brought To You By page. That girl can craft, can't she???!!!! And while we're here, let's give a little shout out to Hammie, too! Love her. Love her work. Love her. We all do, don't we??!!! (insert big grins and hugs here)

With that being said, the task of choosing just one card was, well, difficult at best. How do I choose just one?? One???? One. It took a while. And a bit of hemming and hawing. But I (and don't ask me how I finally did it) narrowed it down to this card:

I know, right??!! She's totally brilliant. I am so in love with this card... And if you've been lucky enough to spend time with her in person, then you're lucky enough. She's a blessing to us all. This one's in your honor, Miss D. And I made a little something too...

Mine's a tribute, not a total CASE (you knew that already, didn't you...) I didn't buy the Sparkle and Shine kit from PTI, and am still kicking myself... So I "made do" with what I had. This actually started out as a very different card, but it pretty much sucked. The only thing I salvaged from it was the shaker part. Now, here's where a little ping ponged around my brain. I have these adhesive backed foam sheets from HL, and decided to use one under the main pink panel, AND inset the shaker part! It fit on the first try, and it cut right on the first try, and I really liked this version much more. I hope Miss D. does too. All the cardstock are scraps, and the little hexie paper is NBUS from Pebbles, and a Michaels white base. A variety of sequins, a PTI 'birthday' die, an SC stamp for the 'happy,' and some Versafine black ink. You are an inspiration Darnell.

And if you don't mind Darnell, I'll post this to Virginia's latest challenge, Virginia's View Challenge #12, Shaker Cards.

And I've one more card to share that I'd like to post to CAS(E) this Sketch. Here is Gayatri's sketch, which I stuck to pretty closely:

And mine...

Some HL dp for the base, cardstock scraps, MFT rectangle dies, a bit of super skinny scrap ribbon, and ME stamps, dies, and Smoke ink. A bit of Colorbox yellow ink, and Versafine black. Done. And now I'll shut up. But before I do, make sure you stop over at Darnell's blog, and CTS as well. There's a bit of time to play along there. Happy dances everyone.
